Great job with the review. I bought the Taurus based on your observations. The glass is incredible. The clarity and brightness are comparable to the Zeiss conquest I tested. Much better than Athlon or Nikon. I bought and returned a Sightmark Pinnacle with LOW glass, as the Taurus glass was just as nice, and the zoom and turrets actually seemed to work better. That was a $1500 dollar scope. I just purchased the Vector Continental with 56x objective and tactical reticle for my new 6.5 Creedmoor. I reviewed and returned a Primary Arms Apollo and Athlon Mida TAC, as these Vectors seem to provide much more value for the money. You should include a look through the scope in your evals, as that is what everyone wants to see anyway, to compare the clarity and brightness. Keep these reviews coming!

Nice to hear that you like my reviews. Yes I tried to film through the scope but the phone I had was to bad. I have a new and will try. The Tourex I tested is finer in the reticle and the same glass, but I do not know how it is inside. I have a new review in the near future of Discovery scopes. I have not started the testing yet, but just looking in it....very nice! I hope I will be done in a month.

@@Zzzzit I also just purchased the Vector Optics Continental version SCOL-22T with the tactical retical, which is also a 5-30x56 30mm tube. The eyebox is much larger than the Taurus due to the very large 43mm eyepiece. The glass seems about the same though. Have you been able to co firm if these are real Schott glass scopes? If true, these are an incredible value.

Great review! I have been looking at these scopes for quite some time and this review helped me decide to go ahead and purchase. When will the review of the Tourex be uploaded? I am interested in the zero stop feature on that scope! Thanks!

Do you know which is the largest caliber it is tested on ? Im not quite sure but I think I read somewhere that it is shockproof till .338 Lapua. Great review btw :)

I can't answer what they tested it on. I have seen some shock tests but not what the largest caliber it is tested with.

Taurus comes with lifetime warranty. I was told by a firearm dealer that they really stand behind the product. I have seen a customer complaint here on youtube. The sales manager stepped into the conversation and asked the customer to contact him regarding solving the issues. That is a good level of customer service.

I have only tested the 5x30 Discovery, but I guess they are the same. I would say that no one is better then the other, but, Discovery have a better reticle in my opinion and a better shade. Also it iluminate the whole reticle and that I like more. But thats me. They are similar in glass.

Will the reticle be too big and cover targets at 100yds I shoot for groups

Well, that depends on how small the target is of course. I used air pistol targets att 200 meters and the dot did not cover the black rings. If you use air rifle targets att 200 meters the dot will probably cover the black rings.

@@Zzzzit I use 3 inch targets at 100yds, I believe that's about 90meters

@@i556xx4 the black rings on an air pistol target is 6 cm, its less then 3 inch. The dot doesn't cover that so it will not cover your target.
