Key takeaway: 🙏🙏🌞 1. Law of karma : every action is followed by natural consequences Consciously done moral action / good action leads to positive results / consequences or happiness. Bad action leads to bad results or suffering. 2. Work is worship. 3. Karma yoga means offering all your action or results of it to god 4. Unselfishness etc.

A true blessing. A couple of years back, everything came crashing upon me. The persona I built over the years of my first 24 almost-unaware years, was burnt in few weeks. At that point, Swami helped me develop a new one, a process still in work - a phoenix yet to fly out of the ashes. I still struggle, but him being there to guide me is all the assurance I need to keep the baby-steps alive. In your words, I’ve found love, comfort and courage as and when needed; almost like Swami Vivekananda is speaking to me himself. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤

I thought the same and started paying attention a few years ago after noticing that it was happening too often to be coincidence. There are no coincidences, the mind (thoughts) prompts us into action to get what it desires. The result depends on other factors like past karma which is 100% accurate, plus time, place and circumstances. Therefore, the effort depends on us but the result is not in our hands. Hence, it is important to have pure thoughts because bad will always be bad and good is always good. 🙏🏼❤️💕

Karma yoga is the path of selfless action, as Swami Vivekananda said, the path of self abnegation. In this path, the sadhaka performs every action, taking care at all times that, it doesn't feed the ego. So far as sacrifice is concerned, a karma yogi is the first and as far as personal gain is concerned, he would be the last. The easier way is to perform every action in the spirit of worshiping God by giving one's best and surrendering the results, the fruits of action as an offering, to the Lord, the Beloved. When the ego stops thinking about the fruits of the actions...when the ego thus remains unfed, it dies like a fasting snake and the Lion within awakes with all it's glory ✊

God was the doer , but the false ego created , thought is was doing and then all the misery started . This is ignorance thinking we are i , me , ego but in reality we are soul which is above any associations . This was explanation from what my little brain could understand from non duality by ramana maharashi

The Shiva Sutras say "To give is Self-knowledge." If we can make everything sadhana then we are closer to the truth. Everything we do is the dance of Shiva. We as in our ego is not the doer but the higher self does all things through us. What we do for others we do for consciousness itself. Lessening the suffering of our circle influence lessens the suffering of all.

Thank you for the upload. It is poignant to talk about Karma Yoga right now. I had thought of karma yoga as focus on examining our mind as we do actions, and over time, as the inner focus increases, action moves away from “what’s in it for me” to “how can I make this action as a tool for self awareness”, this slowly de-linking like or dislike from action. But as Swamiji explains toward the end, that is only one level! There is more to travel on this road!

1:03:22 Is my favorite part: 1st Level of Karma Yoga (phala tyaga): Renunciation of the result. I am doing the work for the worship of the lord. Work AND Worship. 2nd Level of Karma Yoga (karma tyaga): Renunciation of the work itself. Having no choice in the type of work. Work AS Worship. 3rd Level of Karma (kartrtva tyaga): Renunciation of the self. I am not the do-er. All is done by nature. God does everything through nature. Work IS Worship.

Swamiji, this time I have a practical experience of the great difficulty in performing selfless service as advised in Karma Yoga. In this lock-down period I did some little charity to some poor families in my locality and tried to do it quietly so that no one gets the opportunity to praise my deeds and thereby inflate my ego. However, sometime later, my ego was dying for some kind of recognition and patting on my back although I tried hard to suppress it. May Sri Ramakrishna make me stick to the path of true Karma Yoga.

In the third or fourth listening I could get the satisfaction of being introduced to karm yoga . Outstanding vedantic wisdom wisdom expressed by Swami ji in an astounding way . Well really feel proud of being Indian and also an inheritor this great legacy of sanatan dharma, it's thought, transmission process, vedic practices and prophecies. Indians , since ancient ages have flair for discourses, debates and leaning. Very rich tradition amongst men and women, be it rishi Marichi, vashishtha or yadnyawalka or Gargi or Maitreyi . This Swami Sarvpriyananda is the latest flower on this ever blooming tree of this great vedantic tradition ! After the birth of the body, we identify ourselves with it and spend the entire life time fulfilling the needs of the body and everything associated with it. This identification constricts our being and we become selfish. Taking up all the work that comes to us in our daily life and doing it with an attitude of service to God, all the while being unaffected by the outcome is a sure way to transcend constriction and selfishness. I don't think Sadhguru would agree with this definition of Karma. It would be incredible to see him and Swami speak one day.

Sadhguru would definitely agree, he has different ways of explanation. All gurus are truth seekers ultimately.
