It's hard to find a great vegan cake, but in this video I share my recipe for vegan lemon pound cake and it is an amazing vegan cake recipe.

Someone put the recipe in the comments so I halved your triple recipe 😂. Normally I try a recipe before I present it to people but I said this sista looks trustworthy 😂. Anyway I saw the recipe on Friday, made it Friday and brought it to church on Saturday. It was a hit! Thanks

Ingredients… Large vegan pound cake in Bundt pan (greased/floured) Preheat the oven to 350 3 cups sugar 1 cup 1/2 of vegan butter (3 sticks of earth balance) 3 tablespoons of lemon zest Mix ingredients 6 tablespoons Coconut oil 3 tablespoons of lemon juice Wisk these 2 together 3 cups vegan sour cream (tofuti brand) Now alternate mix wet and dry together (a third of each at a time til all in) 1 1/2 tsp salt (1/2 tablespoons) 3 tablespoons baking powder 6 cups of flour 1/4 to 1/2 cup of vegan milk (Ripple unsweetened original) Bake for about 1 hour 25 minutes. After cooled. Icing: 3 cups powdered sugar 3-6 tablespoons of lemon juice

I was really waiting for the final result to see how moist. Also the last time I made a vegan pound cake my glazed disappeared so I was eager to see the glaze. But everyone who made it in the comments said it was good so I might give it a try. Thank you for the recipe!

I have to make everything from scratch due to food allergies. It was like learning how to cook all over again. Actually, I'm grateful because the quality of food we eat now is 10x better! Thanks for this recipe. Glad I found it :)

Yeah thank you and your new picture is cute too! We can make confectioners sugar too, just use a blender and grind the sugar till it’s fluffy powder, I like to use the raw sugar. The happy look on others face , especially Br’ Rooster , Sis. Chic and the cow fam , when they find out it’s vegan plant based ahimsa friendly, we can eat the whole lemon pound cake and still be growing in health on the living way! We be singing for you, gonna have us some more goood lemon pound cake

I don’t eat red meat and I cook it for my husband and for others. It’s been 20 years since I stopped. But understanding seasoning ratios and how much typically per pound will get you well seasoned meat is how I get by. As far as the grater, try the Microplane brand zester and use long strokes from top to bottom. You’ll get a better zest without the pith. Idk why I never intentionally try vegan recipes at home. Looks good!

It sounds delicious. Oh my goodness you should see my kitchen. I’m making cookies and throwing in a banana bread to use my over ripe bananas. Your kitchen is neat as a pin from over here.

Hello Barbara. I’m new to your channel. Glad I stumbled over hear. Your camera quantity is amazing. I didn’t see you add vegan sour cream…did I miss it? Beautiful cake!!!! Need to try your recipe bc I can’t find one that works for me. Need to watch other vids, trying to learn all I can about gardening. Thanks for sharing ❤

Yes I missed you adding sour cream. I was walking on treadmill 😂😂😂😂. One suggestion with zested: I usually just lay it flat across top of kitchen aid bowl and zest that way

Thank you for the freezer tip with the lemon zest…..will try that. I love lemons ! One thing I did with my extra azure organic lemons was ferment them whole in a glass jar using my redmonds real salt for a brine…..check out Melissa K. Norris video. The lemons will keep for a year.

Lol. I do the same thing with my kitchen aide. I don’t have the manual because it was passed down to me from mom but I can probably google it. I heard we have to take it apart and service it with oil etc.

@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead It’s been out of the oven for 30 minutes. I made a mistake and put my oven on 325 so it had to bake for an hour and 45 before skewer came out clean. She is nice and tall too!!😃

Yes I tripled it for this recipe to get this size in the Bundt pan.
