The problem with vegan food is that it's clearly cope. Vegetables are great if you treat them like vegetables, but when you force them to pretend to be meat, they're never going to be as tasty as meat, and they lose their nice vegetable quality in the process. It's just the worst of both worlds.

@@Heron303 perhaps, but vegan steak *does* necessarily mean that it isn't meat, which means it isn't steak. The point is that so much vegan food is desperately _trying_ (and failing) to be something it's not. Meanwhile, vegetables are right there, being delicious if you prepare them well.

@@occultnightingale1106 I couldn't agree more. I will never understand why it's such a big trend to try to copy actual meat. One would think that someone so desperate to leave meat ouf of their diet would realise that food doesn't just revolve around meat, but no, more and more copies of meat and anything meat related comes out each day it seems. "Vegan food" basically means copying "actual food" nowadays, at least if you look around in a store for vegan food. There are a lot of great plant based recipes that don't require you to copy meat, which even I love, someone who isn't vegan. I don't even understand why meat is being copied anyway. If you are vegan not to harm animals, why so desperate to eat a product that tries to mimick animal flesh? And if you're vegan for the environment, why not just reduce your meat intake? None of it makes sense really

I am a Vegetarian, eating Food like that for around 11, nearly 12 Years. When you buy Veggie Food, you will find good ones and bad ones, it's all depending on your Personal Taste AND the Brand Quality. Some Brands make great Veggie Food and some make real bad ones. For me, i found a way to make the best out of it. I buy just from the brands, that fit my Taste and because i love to cook...i always end up with a nice meal. Before, around 12 Years ago i was a heavy Meat eater. I ate Meat basically everyday, but in school we watched a Video about Food Wasting, in that Video they showed Butchers as well. I wasnt shocked about it, because of course i knew how Meat was "made" and where it came from. But i started to think about it more and more, about if i really like to eat Meat. I lost all my appetite about Meat, even worse, i became sick of Meat since then. I didnt even need to think of it, just when i ate, i felt like throwing up. Not pleasent at all. I started to become Vegetarian some weeks later and when i did so, the Quality of Veggie Food was way worse, i'm glad we have much Better Products today, but of course most Products dont come too close to the Original.

This is what I learned the hard way: It's absolutely possible to nail a Beyond burger, but I wouldn't smash it and don't try to get a medium rare... It has to cook a lot longer than meat and basting

His expression is easy to understand🤣 For example, I can still understand if these foods are aimed at people who want to eat meat or fish but can't because of allergies. But these are meats and fish made for vegans. I don't understand why they go out of their way to make it look like meat or fish. Do vegans have a desire for meat and fish somewhere in their hearts? I'm still eating steak today, even though I have doubts about vegans who put up with it and eat fake meat and fish. Real meat and fish are the best!😍👍🥩🍣

I don't think it's that difficult to find an answer on your own. Vegetarians/Vegans still often like the taste of fish or meat, but they don't eat it because of their morals. They can eat it knowing that no animal was killed

Trees are used for construction, but trees also have a life. It's not all vegans, but there are people who insist on ``respecting living things!'' who wear fur clothes and bags, and who criticize other people's diets by imposing their own values on them. So to answer all these questions about why Vegans have to eat copied meat products. Most Vegans (like me) stopped eating meat for moral reasons. I liked the way it tasted though. Vegans don't eat copied meat products every day. But I like to have a burger from time to time that actually almost tastes like the real thing. I don't like the copied cheese stuff. So I don't eat it. I don't miss cheese. And I don't miss eggs. And I mostly eat veggies, pulses, salad and other non animal foods. A lot of people will be surprised how many things they eat every day are actually vegan. Like Oreos. At least the regular ones. No one is forced to eat the copied products. And no one is forced to be Vegan or Vegetarian. It's a choice. I don't mind if others eat meat. My husband eats meat. His choice. We never argue about this.

There are many artificial flavors in vegan products, so they may taste quite bad. If you are going to try a vegan/vegetarian product, you can try products made by boiling green lentils or chickpeas, for example, you can make falafel with boiled chickpeas or make meatballs with boiled green lentils.

this video goes to show that as long as the meat substitute products still have flaws, no one would ever switch from the real meat, both because it simply taste better and cheaper (at least in my country). sure it might be better for the environment, but plant based products still have a long way to go

It‘s quite easy if you are ready to do some research. Yes, there are good and bad alternatives, but you can also make your own (e.g. Burgers with Bean-patties taste amazing). If you really want to do it, it‘s possible. And if you want to eat something that tastes like meat, you can buy the alternatives that taste good. I know some where i really can not taste the difference. And overall they are NOT „more processed“ or „have more chemicals“ in it than their meat counterparts.

Very clear this guy he have a problem with vegan before this experiment, There’s thousands of company’s and they taste different, like any meat chicken cheese company’s. It was very clear in the cheese what are you trying to do. For the steak look for mashroom steak it’s better in taste and healthier 😉
