Night vision camera: Augments headlamp reach; infrared sensors search for heat signatures of pedestrians and animals in the road ahead, at distances up to 219 yards (200 meters); if located, an alert with their positions relative to the vehicle are outlined in the instrument cluster directly in front of driver
I would like to see more vehicles have this as an option.

This is a technology I hoped would become common place with digital gauges. Years ago I saw this on an A8 (Night Vision, not AI enchanced) and hoped it'll become commonplace. Instead they've made the whole digital instrument cluster a toy instead of giving it real purpose. This should really be an option available on all cars from the Honda Civic-Toyota Corolla price range.

This..and the feature that some higher trim level kia/hyundai have the show the side cameras in the instrument cluster when you turn on the turn signal for your blind spot on that side.

@@wantsanewvehicle Yes I agree, that's a really great feature. A lot of potential life saving technologies seem to not get adopted industry wide but the stuff like remote start and so many things we don't really need or save lives have been.

We had an after market ir cam in the Army. Those things are amazing indeed. Would love to have one again but man I doubt I’ll ever buy a jeep again. Hope honda is watching, would love one in our next ridgeline!

This looks like the Flir Pathfinder 2 system.. camera & ecm processor. Thought Flir discontinued it, but this looks identical.

I could also help during the day if there was a snow whiteout or dense fog. The system picks up a lot of detail during the day as well.

The AI marker is the best of the best but it should be combined with a beeping sound because of course no one is always staring at this screen.

$1500 for the part alone and they didn't make the camera a separate replaceable unit and need to replace the complete unit
