It is good to see a nice balance of technology but also control and features you can literally interact with. I think Honda did a solid job here. Thank you for showcasing the new civic in a fine manner as always!

Good review, like the HPD package looks good . I’m glad they put the turn signals as standard equipment 😂 . Still waiting for the hatchback!

I have one, it handles really well and is fun to drive! not super great in the snow, but I live in MN and we got 12+ inches of snow one night and I got home from work just fine. Would recommend for the price.

No pre drilled front license plate holes. I used zip ties to mount mine...

The only disappointment for me is no additional horsepower. I was hoping for more in that area.

How do you set up the traffic jam assist? What button do you hit to start the system up?

You hit the lane assist button, and then activate cruise control. Then those strips on the button next to lane assist is how far of a distance you wanna be from the car in front of you. Pretty simple but fun !:)

The steering wheel and dash and front body are all a 10. Would have liked the double console and spoiler .... and oversized moon roof w/ awd - cause why not

The flashing is due to my GoPro but not something you can actually make the car do.

My son and I were trading our Mazda 3's this time last year when the photos were released of the 22 Civic/Gen XI. We were so disappointed in the exterior, we bought new two Gen X's. With already 55k combined, WE LOVE THEM! And we are glad with our decision.

I drove a 2000 Geo Metro with 55 hp and 58 lbs torque for 16 years. The Civic is only 158 hp. Will I notice a difference driving the 158 hp Civic?

You will notice a difference in many areas. The horsepower is not neck snapping but it gets the Civic down the road with no problem. The biggest difference will be handling. Honda made some great changes to improve handling and make the Civic feel more planted to the road.

The fact that they relegated the turbo Powerplant to only the most expensive sport trim which is the touring will see sales drop and people holding on to the old body style.

It's my best civic ever génération. I have the same Civic in Red and Black HDP. Or I have sunroof, banquet 60/40. Volant chauffant .

I don’t mean to insult any of the Honda enthusiasts but why does the sport model come with less power than the EX? It’s the “sportier” version but it’s down on power and it’s less fuel efficient than the turbo model.

The EX is more expensive. The sport is essentially just an appearance package that would like appeal to younger people who don't want to spend more money.

i’d get the sport because it comes with a 2.0 and not a 1.5, granted it doesn’t have a turbo and makes less power. but if you put a big turbo with it, it’ll make more power than the 1.5 with a turbo

@@bbby7656 You don't just slap a big turbo on a car and it's done. Not if you want reliability. You need to upgrade the brakes, suspension, clutch, axles, tires, downpipe, exhaust, the cost of the turbo itself, intercooler and all associated parts, and shit ton of dyno tuning and when you do blow up the engine that'll need to be properly built too.. It's easily a $15k expense, likely even much more to do it right. You might as well get a better car to begin with if you have that kind of budget.

Nice car , I agree it would have been nice to at least put the 1.5T. And the touring w about 2 hundred HP . I Guess for a lot of people that are buying the sport it’s at a good price point and looks good. Like I said many times already waiting for hatchback touring it’s going to be the one , just different-good review !!!!! Does anybody know when the hatchback is going on sale I’m from the east coast.

The 2.0 is a better engine if you are in for the longevity ,but if you want more hp,the 1.5T is your choice.we bought the 2.0 n/a.and we are loving ❤️ 😍 it.tge transmission is well designed to march the engine. Gas mileage is very good.interior is really nice.leather wrapped steering wheel and shift nob.wheels are amazing, very spacious.lightning system well designed. Overall I will give it a 10.

A "Sport" model is equipped with the weaker engine. SMH. What an oxymoron. Might as well just call it "DX" model like it was back in the 90s. "Sport" already exists for the SI and Type R models.

They cut lots of corners on the Sport. Hard plastic on the upper door panels, no power drivers seat, no map pockets behind the front seats, no power or USB connection in the rear, no center arm rest in the rear, and no engine temp gauge in the instrument cluster. Unacceptable in a $24K vehicle.

Too big for a sports car and also looks too much like the Accord now. So now instead of Civic being it's own car design Honda now has the Honda Accord and the Honda Accord mini.

You’re right . My Mustang has more hp. It’s a v6, but when raced near my 22 civic sport . It’s like a jet compared to it. But yes I do wish we can get more HP
