Fantastic video that expertly describes low sulphide epithermal gold systems. I worked with AngloGold Ashanti as a staff geologist in Beatty Nevada for a year on a similar deposit and it's pretty fascinating stuff!

That's entirely possible if the vent was below sea level.

Excellent presentation Nick, well done. Some of those vein systems are incredible. I can send you photos of a road side cut with impressive veining which contains 14grm per ton AU. Do you have anything on Komatiites (spinifex textured), Serpentinite, ,olivine and Interlayered pyroxenite and peridotite. The areas I prospect always contain the above along with BIF. Thanks

Not surprising. The sedimentary layers we have today are not milions of years old they happen simultaneously from water movement. Similarly the fluids inside the quartz veins move and sedimentary layers are developed from stratification processes.

They can be any age. Once the quartz veins are formed, they can last for millions of years or just a few hundred.
