You can just use Plumbers silicone tape to reattach it and get a tight seal. Hope this helps.

Usually the reason is the lack of a tight seal. You might have to reopen unfortunately and focus on getting a good seal when you reattach but do so without breaking the shower. Good luck!

It could also be the cartridge insert in the shower handle faucet valve. This is a bit more difficult repair for a do it yourselfer but it's not really that hard. If this is the problem and you replace it yourself just take your time and don't scratch any o rings/seals or break the components. You need to turn off the water to the shower if you have a shut off in your bathroom, otherwise the entire home water shut off is usually outside close to the home on your water line. If you don't turn the water off, you will get surprisingly soaked. LOL

@cliffvictoria3863 I just read your comment, and you were 100% correct. Unfortunately, my brother scratched, bent, and damaged the pipes and O ring while pulling out the Delta cartridge that was also damaged. So, I hired a licensed plumber ☺️ to install a new Moen cartridge. Everything is repaired now, and my rain shower is working great, and I love it.
