Sean Woolfenden We said that when we were there a little racing tunnel or similar but at the same time having it open has that natural elements effect of the wind in your face on the launch

All coasters at Flamingo Land severely lack theming 😞 a real shame isn’t it as a nice tunnel section on the launch and some trees, sign posts etc could really amp up the immersion

I know this comment is 2 years old but oh well.. Those brakes are only to be used in case the launch didn't propel the trains up to the appropriate speed. That's Vekoma's solution of roll back brakes on their hydraulic launches

Definitely can’t get the license but just theming this ride and it would be 🔥

It's got some great airtime. Perfectly safe with the Vekoma harnesses but it certainly leaves you feeling more open to the elements that's for sure!

It felt very safe strapped it well and never thought I was going to fall off

@@monty9052 Phew! I always remember my friend losing his glasses on Colossus at Thorpe Park. Thankfully they fell onto the only part of the ride that has metal mesh and easy access to retrieve them with some careful finger pokes 😂

@@Mary-qu5dd Hi! I know you won’t see this now or you’ll have already been on it but I went on it in October 2020 and it is literally “1, 2 and launch on 3! I don’t like rollercoasters but I went on it because my little sister and brother wanted to go on it and at the beginning I was holding my breathe because I’ve done that on everything roller coaster I’ve been on and I figured if would be better than screaming since my mouth would be dry after, but at soon as you get to the first hill it’s completely fine, I cried all the way up the hill and halfway around I screamed “THIS IS EPIC”!! so it is definitely not as bad as it seems. I am a very tall 13 year and and I embarrassed myself through the queue 😂

It’s a shame as it’s not a bad ride whatsoever but the lack of theming is a strange decision. With that said the coaster next door has LOTS of theming planned for it may spread out into Velocity’s ride area too 🤞

Of course I try and read as many as I possibly can! It's a great coaster and I was like you regarding height but I took it a step at a time and i'm now comfortable getting on high coasters even though I'm still always nervous every single time on the way up haha

It's the new coaster, currently unnamed but is said to be called 'Inversion' (imaginative I know) it was delayed due to the pandemic but work has started up again on it recently ready for a 2022 opening.

Hey thanks for commenting! I mean Cliffhanger is a ride that still intimidates me so the fact you went on that means you’re already way braver than you give yourself credit for. If you really wanna build up form dino I’d hop on Twistosaurus and see how you feel with the rotations and the track. Once you’re comfortable with those two then Velocity is your next one so you can assess how comfortable you are with speed. Hero is a bit rough and jerky and Kumali is intimidating so those two would come after for sure. That’s the order I’d do them in personally, I’m scared of heights and I still push myself to do them, it’s a mindset but building yourself up is exactly what I did and it helps a lot! This was my first roller coaster, I decided that even if I really hated it once I was on then it would be all over so quickly that it wasn’t going to be a big deal! I thoroughly enjoyed it but still won’t go on any coasters that invert when your on.
