Velocity/ War Bird Arrival

This was a flight from the Velocity factory in Sebastian Fl to SunnFun Lakeland as a flight of 6 Velocities in the war bird arrival pattern at Lakeland. A brand new Vtwin with Scott Swing led 3 XLRGs(1Turbo) and 2 elites. My somewhat untrusty GoPro8 mounted on the vertical stabilizer failed after 30 seconds and it was poised to get the best shots. I was so bummed by the failure that it took me four months ( as well as prodding by Riley Swing) to review and edit the footage that I was able to get with the cameras inside my aircraft. Anyway I think it turned out OK and is entertaining, but, oh, what might have been! Hope you enjoy Velocity: War Bird Arrival.

Even without that camera you still definitely captured some great footage! Hope to build one of those with my brother-in-law someday.

Would love ❤️ a Velocity Pusher Aircraft. Love the Canard Wing . Xtra safety there . The Design is Xcellent. Probably prefer the look of the Single However a turbo prop twin would be cool 😎 . Wonder how a V-Shape tail would work ??? On the twin . Any takers on that Q . 👀

I think a pair of UL520T engines on a Velocity V-twin are more enticing than any turbine. If you've got the cash to fuel a turbine, you've got the cash to acquire something like a Pilatus or TBM that are certified for known ice, have lightning protection mesh embedded in their composites, and are in a totally different class as far as safety and comfort are concerned.

@@ParadigmUnkn0wn stop trying to force your opinions on others. As stated there is already a turboprop powered velocity. It’s happening, deal with it.

@@superskullmaster the turbine XL burns 200 knots at 25gph, better to get a piston 370hp and do 230 knots at 15gph
