My wife and I just happened to get these exact same models on Black Friday. Your description of the different riding experiences between the frame types is spot on. Let me also say they're really great bikes for the money. We test rode a number of other ebike models that cost $300 to $500 more each but couldn't really tell a difference between those and the Velotrics.

It appears that both of you can stop, remain seated & reach the ground with your feet! Following the standard advice to raise the seat so that my leg is fully extended on the lowest position of the pedal makes it impossible to stop without getting off the seat.
