Borden is an American dairy brand. The Lady Borden branding is licensed to Lotte. It used to be licensed to Meiji, but the license was switched in 1994. It's always been positioned to compete against Haagen-Dazs in Japan only as a "premium" ice cream.

Always good to see Mega getting more and more comfortable in the vids. You guys have way better selection of Cup-O-Noodles there in Japan than we have here in the US. I'd love to try the flat noodles and the other stuff like fried tofu that we don't get here.

⛴️ Hooray for vending machines on the ferry! The Nissin Donbei Kitsune Udon that Eric had in the video, is one of my favorites. It contains a soup made from Kelp and two types of Bonito, and is flavored with Soy Sauce and Chili pepper seasoning melange. The broth is fragrant and has a subtle sweetness. The noodles are wider than typical Ramen. Overall, it's a good choice for those who enjoy Udon and fried Tofu. 🍜

Gotta love a nissin machine. I think I might have seen one in Hakodate - I imagine it makes sense to have the hot water function in some of the colder prefectures.

Lady Borden is a division of Borden Ice Cream (Elsie the Cow). I think it was in the early 40's Lady Borden started and got pretty popular. I believe all Borden has sold off for parts so to speak. I didn't know they were still operating in Japan. That's pretty neat ... and it's delicious ice cream ♥

Another great video. 270 for ice cream is awesome . That’s about 2.45 Canadian. Here where I am , we’d be paying up to 4.99 plus tax Canadian for an ice cream (so about 5.65 after tax & rounding) the strawberry bar looked really good. Hope you & Mega are having a great time on the ferry .

Borden, Inc. was an American company that was known for its' ice cream, condensed milk and many other products. It was in operation from 1857 until 2001. Lady Borden has been an ice cream sold in Japan for 50 years. I do not know if there is any connection between the names.

That hot water dispensing unit needs precision placement. It looked good at the beginning but then .... spillage. ;) The chocolate covered strawberry bar looks tasty.
