This cast is the most perfect thing I’ve seen my entire life

I'm so so happy and grateful that, as a trans woman, I finally get to watch movies and series about my life, my pain, the struggles and the the joy. I'm so blown away by this cast, and their genuine portrayal of these characters. That they had this platform to showcase their talent, grace, and beauty is something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime. My heart is so happy!

This interview is amazing. I had to search for more materials after finishing the show and this is really special. I still can’t believe how amazing and sensible the series is. It’s like Valeria said, it’s already historical and will be remembered for many years to come. I hope it sets a new way of casting and telling stories in this industry.

It was a great interview, im sure america will appreciate cristina’s life like we spaniards are DYING for Pose characters and trans story in america 😷 I cant wait for other different countries and cultures doing the same and showing how this story developed in their territory cause most countries have had a shining transgender star that probably lived a hella difficult life worth sharing.

This is one of my top 3 favorite shows ever, the amount of care, talent and effort put into this is unmatchable. This show makes me proud to be a trans woman. Veneno will be watched for the rest of time, and Christina will live on as a now global icon. Ugh so many sad and happy tears all at once❣️

JUST finished watching, and oh my God! What a wonderful show, I cried like a bitch in the end. All cast was just incredible, every single one of them. So beautiful and talented! Thanks to the creators for bringing to a light such in interesting life of such an complex woman as Cristina. Honestly, I didn't want it to end, I was so captivated by everything that was going on. I've watched it in Spanish and it was terrific. The English version on HBO is horrible. The dubbing is flat and the acting is nothing like the original. I enjoyed this show so much. You guys are awesome. ❤️

This was the best serie I've seen on this subject. And it gave me power in the most difficult moment of my transition. This movie is precious. Every person who worked behind it have done a titanic work. I cried, and than lough and than cried again and experiment many many many emotions. The cast was playing amazingly. There is no one personage that wasn;t on his place. Everyone is perfectly casted. No words can describe the feelings. Bravo!

this show is written directed and filmed so beautifully the acting is impeccable the story lets you in and shows you real complex dynamic characters i cried i laughed i saw apart of me that i don't always see on TV everyone can relate to this story and as Valeria said its one for the history book love all the way from Africa

Gracias for this Q&A!!!! I finished the show last week and I'm OBSESSED! I started watching it because of Drag Race España. There was a challenge in honor of Veneno but I've never heard of her before (I'm Brazilian.) Then I saw they had the show on HBO Max, and pressed play right away. Lost count of how many times I cried and laughed with all the characters, really an AMAZING experience. To know that both Javis are the judges on drag race and also the producers/creators... And that all the cast is from the trans community and SERVED quality acting, so much emotion and rawness... Like you've all said - Veneno - is already a cult classic. Perfeita!

Fuera de joda, acá en Argentina se necesita mucho una serie como esta, al día de hoy, justamente, suman 105 los travesticidios que se han cometido en el país desde el inicio de este 2020. Nuestra sociedad, y el mundo, necesita con urgencia visibilizar esta representación tan positiva de una comunidad tan apaleada como la comunidad trans. I discovered Cristina Veneno through the La Veneno Tribute runway on Drag Race España. I looked her up and I was absolutely entranced... I had to see more of her, to know more of her. I binged the whole series in one night, and I think I'm even going to rewatch it already. The production and cast was phenomenal... They treated Cristina and her story with reverence and absolutely did her justice. I wish she could have seen this masterpiece.

I was looking for some behind-the-scenes background information or maybe a featurette on the making of Veneno. This discussion is absolutely fantastic. It’s really wonderful to hear everyone here tell their story and express their feelings about being a part of the production - Valeria, the Javiers, and the amazing actresses who portrayed Cristina. Having watched the series some time ago now, I’ve found myself drawn back to it again and again. I’m a gay man but I’ve known a number of beautiful trans women over the years. It’s true that, as was mentioned, this series is for all kinds of people but especially for trans and the wider LGBTQ community, because we - especially those of us born in the 60s (or earlier) - we, almost every one of us, suffered through some very difficult times as we came to understand who we were and what the world thought of us and how it was often prepared to treat us (not very kindly). Thank you to the interviewer and to everyone who helped to produce this video. Well done.❤

25:19 no creo que se trate de dejar ninguna otra serie a la altura de nada... y mucho menos POSE, que también trata muchas realidades y muchos temas como el VIH, el racismo dentro de la transfobia, la plumofobia y millones de temas que no se tratan en Veneno, ya que no es necesario compararlas porque son completamente distintas y maravillosas y ninguna deja a la otra a la altura de nada. Para empezar una es un biopic que cuenta la vida de una persona que existió y la otra es una historia ficticia pero inspirada en la realidad. En lugar de menospreciar una para ensalzar a la otra se debería valorar el increíble significado que tienen ambas, lo maravilloso que es que existan y que el público cada vez tenga más referencias y más espejos donde mirarse.

I saw the original version in Spain and they had edited that original version in the US. The story about the La sonrisa del Pelicano and political media controversy and the reason they had shutted down the TV show. The scene with the dog inside the microwave the same way.
