Guyana is paradise enriched with natural resourses....Fresh fruits, vegetables, fishes, WOW, WHAT A BLESSING TO SEE FLORA AND FAUNA COME ALIVE IN BEAUTIFUL GUYANA.

Sad living conditions...but I did not see one person looking sad. Everyone seemed to be at Peace and Grateful just to be alive. The kids are happy and self sufficient. The water and natural beauty of the village brought tears to my eyes. Even in the midst of such misery there is so much Happiness and Beauty. You did an Amazing job documenting the Beautiful River and its Beautiful people!❤

Danny in a country there is always poverty, when people migrate they are illegal the Govt do not know they are there, we Guyanese went through the same thing when we migrate illegally to another country. Every country has poverty regardless how rich they are.

scarlett ibis is call curry curry in berbice. Back in guyana many parrots use to come on our mango tree everyday. Parrots and sakiwinki monkeys all over berbice. If economy and crime can become stable in guyana then guyana is the best country to live.

ARD, Venezuelans were migrating to Guyana since the late 70' s . I been there in Morahana. You have to go on the land there leading to Wauna. You will learn a great lot.

Danny you showing and speaking facts. Big up to you bro. I want to tell all Guyanese that the table turned now. In the late 70's and all through to the early 90's. Guyanese used to run to Suriname, Venezuela although they don't understand the languages. Lot of Guyanese when there and was treated very badly, especially females. Look what is happening now...Venezuelans are fleeing to Guyana. Please let us not treat then how they treated Guyanese. Give them love. That's all I am asking.

These children reminds me of my first landing in Supanaam mid-eighties saw two children coming from an island or up river to school was wonder struct babies really in this massive river I had just cross and being from Trinidad whose largest river is just a drain or canal in Guyanese terms and as always the abundance sea food Thanks Mister Persaud,hoping for a last HURRAH in Guyana this year my last trip was in 2005.

well thats good these people come from Venezuela. there is a shortage of labour all around Guyana, the Gov needs to bring them to where they need labour but they need to temp house them near the job so they can learn the job and langauge, also farmers need labour,,and when when all Guyanese get housed then they can house them.

Denny this segment of your ongoing adventures was truly a study in the humanities and a nature lover's dream vacation. You gave us a Birdseye view of the Scarlet Ibis and parrots🦜 in flight and on the trees creating such a spectacular cascade of colour. A boat ride took us into the eye of poverty but yet showed us how humble these tribes lived through their customs and culture with regard to river life. You're so correct in saying that Townies could never make it in those areas as many of us do not have the capabilities to adapt to such hardship, but this is a lesson in resiliency and fortitude. Excellent video displaying human nature and the never ending migration process. Your video should be used in schools in the Western World to teach young minds the difference between want and need, in addition to the very obvious history and geography lessons.

Danny it's nice to see the way you are showcasing these parts of our beautiful country clled Guyana. I think 80% of the Guyanese population have never seen these pare of Guyana. Thank God the job I am involved in have taken me to all ten regions in Guyana. I work for 3 years in the northwest region in 6 areas and in some of the remote Rivering areas. Is it me, or this dont look that bad... When i saw the title i expected ppl living in a literal garbage dump. Yes, the houses are modest, some in disrepair. But they also: 1) Right on the water..2) An abundance of land to explore & play in 3) Fruit trees, hunting & fishing for free. Lets compare that to many of my friends living in a NYC studio apt. No yard space & u pay for everything, even an apple. And all u do is work, then watch TV or internet

What an amazing video showcasing the lives of very poor people in their rundown homes, yet they seem to be satisfied with what they've got. The birds, the ibis and the parrots, were amazing as well as the children in their canoes. This was a very revealing video and taught much about life in the interior. Well done.

I noticed they kept their yards clean. I didn't see trash floating in the rivers and the banks weren't covered with garbage.

I’m speechless. So sad to see the living conditions of these people. The kids are so brave and tough. I personally can’t do what they’re doing on that canoe. As for the scarlet ibis , they look so pretty. I thought i was looking at a tree blossom with huge Red flowers only to realize that they were birds.

My father lived here as a boy in Morawhanna, North West. We are supposed to own some land here but I'm not sure if we still do. My grandmother, Maggie Horsham, was the medical person for the area. It's nice to see the area through this video, thank you for posting Danny.

Hey Danny/ ARD, The nine aboriginal tribes in Guyana and the Caribbean are:- ARAWAKS, WAI WAI'S, CARIBS, AKAWAIO, ARECUNA, PATAMONA, WAPIXANA but is has a complicated pronunciation... MACUSHIS and WARAO.. hence the word. Boy you know your history like me. Not too many people in this world know their history. I wonder why? Keep up doing the good things.

It's an overwhelming situation since this all happened so rapidly with the Venezuelan economy collapsing and the human exodus began, hopefully the United Nations and World Health Organization also other wealthy nations make a concerted effort to assist guyana to house these people.

Hi Danny. It was one of my request to you to visit region 1. I thought you you have gone with the new boat 🚢. It's my first view of the area. I never see any government ministers visiting that area. At least help those people with a decent house to live in. When it rains, they have no protection. I hope they look at your video. There are many people who abandoned their homes for better quality of livings to migrate to other places in Guyana . The Amerindians have strongly survived their lives in the Riverain areas ,not many would like it in the much civilied areas in Guyana but it will be great to improve their lives . Guyanese who migrated to other countries for better, also suffered a lot before they became wealthy like you ,Denny. Thank you for your video. Very interesting ,and always something to learn from you.

Outstanding video Mr. Danny!!!! Sometimes people need to see what is the result of corrupt governments and tyranny! Venezuela was once a country with financial promise because of the oil. But when those at the top mismanage and pocket money for their own interest, the common people suffer!! I hope and pray that does not happen to Guyana!! I am grateful that Guyana is taking in some of the migrates and hope their life is somewhat better there than in Venezuela! Thanks again for sharing this!!
