Venezuelans continue to flee to Colombia in search of better life

Despite more stable economic conditions, Venezuelans continue to flee the country in search of a better life.
Since the pandemic, growing inflation and economic hardships in Colombia convinced hundreds of thousands of migrant families to return to Venezuela last year.
However, the latest report released by the Colombian government says that in just six months, between September 2021 and February 2022, 34 percent more Venezuelans have arrived, bringing the total number to 2.5 million.
Colombia has now implemented a number of welcoming policies, including a temporary protection status to help people access services, education and formal jobs.

They ran out of Other People’s Money. Their problems are of their own making. I have zero sympathy for them. Go home and Make Venezuela Great Again.

I am a Canadian who is starting an electronic waste and mattress recycling company but because of the labour shortage my region faces I am worried I will not have enough employees to launch and grow. I wish Canada was doing more to help elevate the migrants at The USA and Colombian borders by bringing them to central rural Canada where working-age people are desperately needed.

You can actually hire people from Colombia. Due to trade agreements with Canada, Colombians are exempt from the LMIA requirements

I love to see Brazil in different names like Colombia and others. Unfortunately brazilians are less fortunate than Colombians for not being able to flee Brazil!

@@patricklutherwinchester4260 Brazil has got the same maladies of Colombia and similar, but unlike the aforementioned more distant( in km/ Miles) from developed countries thus making it rather difficult to leave
