2023's Paris-Istanbul Venice Simplon-Orient-Express travelled through Hungary over the weekend of 26-27 August. This time, on the Budapest-Curtici (RO) journey the train was hauled by Siemens Taurus 470 002, which had received a special livery commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Children's Railway in Budapest. The train travels through Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, reaching Istanbul Sirkeci on the 30th of August, and departs back towards Paris on the 1st of September.
