How cold was it? We are booked for May 5th to May 16th. Like the Be,Be reference. This will be our 4th trip. Love getting up and out at5:30-6:00am and watching the place come alive. Cute video.

When we were there, it was in the 50s in the morning, but it would get up to the high 60s in the afternoons. How fun-have the best time!! 😄 We love the morning idea, I know the city has to be beautiful then. We can’t wait to go back!

Hey Emily! Thanks so much 😄 If you only have two days, we will probably recommend staying on Venice, or going to one of the other nearby spots like San Giorgio Maggiore!

Burano was a must see for me. But I didn't go in the cold and when it was dead. The central square and colorful houses are so worthwhile Don't go to Venice and be like the tourists in Shirley Valentine who moaned about Greek food in Greece As for the bottom parts of houses looking so worn compared to the bourgie upper levels ..... every modern made structure I saw was in a way more rickety condition than buildings that had been subjected to those conditions for centuries It was the most historic ethereal place I've visited I loved your off the beaten track food ideas and staying in an Airbnb rather Especially the going up the San Giorggio tower recommendation to I'd go back to venice tomorrow I've been twice

Great video. I'm planning a trip soon and was wondering if I will be able to get a vaporetto DIRECTLY from Marco Polo or do I have to get on a bus first? And how much is the vaporetto and how long does it take to get to Venice from the airport?

Hey there! Thanks for your comment. :-) We took the ATVO bus from Marco Polo to the bus drop off right at Piazalle Roma. From Piazalle Roma, you can easily navigate around Venice! We'd recommend reading the local websites for up to date information on Vaporetto pricing. We'll send a link that might be helpful. Have the best trip!! :-)

hey! appreciate your video but in your final thoughts, the things you mention are real. And those are actually reasons NOT to support airbnbs. The actual population has been outpriced because people can't afford the rent and landlords opt for airbnb to make more money. Stay in hotels that aren't taking away accommodation for locals.

I saw how most of the houses and buildings now have pumps that are visible outside and our apartment had a drain right inside the front door to assist with flooding from the canal that happens when the tide comes in added to lots of boat activity. At night and low tide the water level drops a lot We were on Guidecca They are taking active steps to help with high tides Higher than everyday tides are a normal lunar phenomenan Venice is in no danger 😊
