Cooked up a piece of Venison backstrap on the cast iron. Simple seasoning, high heat in the pan, a little olive oil, and some patience during the rest! Extremely delicious dinner.

I’m going to try this pretty soon. I have some back straps from a doe I shot last season and I wanted to try to find a way to cook it without frying it.

Just a bit of advice if you haven’t done so already. Get a small camera/cell phone tripod and a 5500K photography light. You’ve got good camera presence, keep at it.

Just a note. Not filet mignon but still delicious. Filet would come from the inner tenderloin
