Yeah, it would be nice to see a villain without a very similar set of skills to the hero in a marvel movie for once. All the Iron Man, half the Thor, and 2 of the Captain America projects had super soldiers, a god with a powerful set of capabilities, or someone in their own Suit. I know we have a lot of symbiotes but just give us something new

@@t-virusterrance4734 the symbiote has been there since the early 80’s, not Venom, Venom is a result of the symbiote being separated from Peter and uniting with Eddie Brock. Which happened in the LATE 80’s to early 90’s. In fact, Venom has always been a dark but witty character, personality wise because the symbiote’s first exposure to a very emotional being was Peter Parker, someone who often used that as a coping mechanism. Before the symbiote was even streamlined as something that placed negative effects on Peter’s health and personality in the 90’s, the symbiote was actually trying help Peter, it was more akin to a toddler that wanted to help fight crime and the only influence it had was taking his body out at night, which caused Peter, who’s actually a hothead in the comics to be easily frustrated and tired half the time but when Peter discovered that it was an alien, he wanted to get rid of it. Hence starting the journey of the jilted symbiote we know and love. You can look at the excerpts from the comics, the initially emotionless from 1984 to 1987, then it became venom in 1988 and the Venom became an anti hero in 1993.

Plenty of reasons I see why Lasher could end up being the villain of Venom 3. Although, I think I’d personally prefer if the villain weren’t actually a Symbiote. Because looking back at the other two previous movies, the villains Riot from the first movie and Carnage from the second one were both wasted and disrespected. They’re both strong Symbiote characters who deserved better treatment! If it’s confirmed to Lasher, who’s to say that he won’t be wasted like the other two? All that having been said, I’m not really excited for the 3rd movie but I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes.

In some art for Toxin. His mouth & tongue has been shown to be green as opposed to the usual red that all the other Symbiotes have. So they might just be pushing the green colour for the third movies marketing similar to how the second movies marketing pushed the colour red for Carnage.
