@@samspade8830 I was unaware that lucid and rivian were American. If they are, then yes they are likely built 100% inside America. You have the same problem as Canada though, taxes upon taxes. The government gets a piece of everything any time an item is purchased, shipped or sold. By the time a product ends up on the shelf, the government has already collected the entire value of that item in taxes, and that doesn't include the tax charged on the customers purchase price or the taxes on ownership and registration of that item. It's not corporate greed that is killing us, it's the dirty hands of the government involved in every transaction along the way.

@@ib4217 To be fair, there's government incentives to buy electric cars, so you can get $8,000 tax credit for buying a Tesla, Lucid, or Rivian. So that's always a benefit.

I got to see this car in person last year in Monterey for Car Week. I was able to talk to Hennessy himself at Pebble Beach. He wouldn't confirm that Michael Jordan bought one, but we've all seen the pictures.
