In all seriousness though, the reason why Resident Evil characters feel 'weak' is because they have no choice but to fight against BOW (gross monsters!) using firearm simply because it is a safer choice most of the time (which Venom Snake and pretty much most Metal Gear character would have preferred as well. Well, Venom Snake use stinger to take down Metal Gear Sahelanthropus) but there is certain implications that hint some character like Chris, Leon is possibly almost as strong or even the same level as Big Boss and Venom Snake like Chris able to lift a massive rock with his bare hands that could weight more than tons and defeat a very impressive superhuman that is Wesker with only Sheva as a proper aid on his side and Leon taking down crazy cult leader who can transform into eldritch kaiju mostly by himself and is very skilled in melee weapon combat (pretty sure his CQC skill is good too, just not demonstrated or fleshed as much as Metal Gear heroes), Jill and Ada is actually very strong too but they suffer the same thing as Chris and Leon especially Jill who is said to be an elite soldier in lore And boy, how I would love to see "What if Metal Gear character in Resident Evil?", how would they handle to incident that happen in RE like RE4 event, really want to see how Solid Snake would deal with Los Illuminados instead of Leon, that will be extremely interesting
