I think it’s less venom the duck being good and more that he’s a 7* and he’s got rly good stats

VTD is a good champion. What he needs is a small update that makes him more usable in today's nodes for cosmic such as 'buffed up' and perhaps an armor break.

He’s always been good offensively. Multiple ways to ramp him up. Always been fun to use in incursions and whatever it was called before the name change

From the title I thought it was going to be an incursions showcase, as a fellow 7* duck enjoyer that's pretty much the only place I use him. But he is definitely worth the buildup in there, I'd recommend 2 power gain, 2 precision, 3 regen and 3 furies (duplicate buffs lose potency so a spread is better than 10 furies). He shreds everything so fast, constant regen (outpaces my suicides damage and can heal to full in just one room), big bleeds/degens, he can loop sp3s with his power gain if you stay aggressive for near 100% uptime on his buffs, and he synergizes really well with loads of hacks. Pair him up with knull for the cheat death synergy and watch him tear through the first 15 rooms no problem. He's not exactly herc but he's still got huge damage, a 10 second cheat death (really a 2nd chance in the fight due to his regen, when indestructible runs out he can keep going no problem), and can take a surprising number of fights. Turns out his best utility is being able to tear through realm of legends size health pools in under 10 seconds.

I've been watching all the streams and it's been fun seeing you realize that VTD isn't actually as meh as all of us once thought, when you first pulled him as a 7* I thought he was just gonna be kind of meh and not very useful, but VTD truly has built up a reputation, and he is definitely on my list of wanted champions.

Some simple changes. If less than 3 active buffs, then a heavy adds them. So in fight 1 or BG can bank 3. Venom can start with 1 or 2, Venompool, Herc can ramp up fight 1. So why not? And cut the time to get them in half. Simple value tweaks for a cool character. He’s fun, the animations are great. But yes he’s fun and useful in AQ. Thanks for showing this. I’ve pulled him.

Maybe he would be better if he wasn’t so rng and it allows you to pick your buffs. Also maybe increasing the buff cap would be helpful too.

He is my first duped 7* so I learned him and hooooolllllllllllly bananas... My goodness. My baldcap was flung clear across the room as my mind was blown to smithereens.

I got him and duped him from my first 5 7* champs. He’s cool and I enjoy using him in AQ. I don’t know if I’d say he’s great though, he’s more just good because he’s a 7* I think

V. the Duck is a great champion and very powerful against characters with reinforced armor

If you know how to store up those buffs his abilities are really useful for AQ or quests that have a lot of fights. His regen is wicked at times if you get 2, any more and it’s efficacy drops significantly

Bg is a fine story teller.

He was my top cosmic champ among Hela, Gamora, Proxima, Air Walker, Silver Surfer, BlackBolt, Thor and Corvus Galaive. But then one day I got a 6* GALAN.

As owner of a duped 7* VtD, I'm looking forward to his rumored buff. I have one idea for it so far. A la Venompool, he needs a prefight ability to select the first random buff to proc in each fight. That would make the ramp-up process more tolerable.

i have him too, but my base hero rating is 17310 (yours is 19039). can it be that masteries setup could vary up to 2k rating?

I see so many people calling Venom the Duck one of the more meh pulls out of the 7 star crystal. I think a problem a lot of MCOC players have is they get too caught up in tier lists and meta rankings. No, Venom the Duck is no Hercules. He's not even close. But that doesn't mean he's not great. He's great in different ways. I still love Namor and he's probably not even a top 10 mutant anymore.
