An absolute masterpiece

I appreciate the lines of this architectural masterpiece. I question the iron staining of the concrete. There are plenty of types of protective coatings that can be utilized to avoid and resist the staining as the weathering and aging of this structure continues and this would help to maintain the overall integrity. I also question the extreme use of metal as I'm well aware from living in Tucson Arizona, that the Summer heat is extreme for several months, over 100 degree temperatures are constantly blazing down. With such extreme daytime temperatures in the Summer, that metal continues to radiate intensely throughout the evening... I recognize from the design that the overhang and walkways are, in essence, engineered to create shade and elongated breezeways as the structure is aligned snug into the foothill. But, it leads me to question the radiant temperature that is still an important factor with the desert heat. I was also very surprised not to see any solar panels or rainwater catchment. I believe this concept would work much better using rammed-earth rather than board formed concrete. Other than those elements that I've mentioned, it looks like a very clean design and I would hope that extremely efficient energy is being utilized on cooling the interior spaces.

Beautiful home, but whatever happened to the basic walk-through tour? Everyone is trying to be Steven Spielberg with these home tour videos. There's nothing wrong with getting little creative with the shots, but the goal should be to show the details of the house, not to show off the photography!
