Forgot to mention I’m part of the Venture gang as well. I got Venture 6.1 HI on my big setup. On my 8.25” deck I’ve got Venture Worrest Awake 5.85s. Bushings are perfect for me. Just a turn or 2 to see 2 threads and I’m good.

I'd say that Indys are industry standard, king of all trades, master of none. Ventures shines for gaps and stairs (won't wobble much after landing nor on downhills, structurally strong design). Thunders seems good for skateparks in general (thiner, lighter and turns better than Ventures but nose and tails slides with wheels). Aces seems the best for carving and skating bowls, they turn easily and might be also good for slappies. Tensor are for technical, younger and older riders because they are lower and lighter. Mini Logos are as low as Venture lows, turn like Thunders and are more stable than Aces with very similar wheelbase. Ventures and Thunders has the widest wheelbase which gives the high pop even dough they are lower trucks. I'm personally riding Venture low V-hollows on 1/8 shock pads after riding all the others and I wish I got them long time ago because only they feel fine Santa Cruz and Girl symetrical boards for my height (6.1)

Hey, thanks for the review man! I’ve been eagerly waiting to hear someone’s thoughts on these. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my flip tricks since using them. There’s something about them that makes my flips quicker, and they just look and feel fantastic! I also appreciate the height, they’re not too high or too low. It’s just right. I’ve tried Indys and Thunders before, but it’s just not the same for some reason. These trucks seem tailor-made for my riding style. Thanks! 🤙🏼

Great revieuw love it thanks, also great to read the comments. Love to also read some comparison between venture standards, v-lights or hollows. Personally, i have the hollows and standards. Standards turn/feel a bit better cruizing around. Feels like hollow is a bit overrated for most of us or not? Love to read comments about, hollow, v-light and standard trucks. Same for thunders hollow and standards, likewise experience.

Super solid great review. Very valid point about the hollow axles. That doesn’t get brought up much. Also good to know our hero here wears size 12 shoes. I too wear size 12 shoes and could go to 8.25 but my preference is 8.5” decks.

Agree on the Thunders. I just tried a set of Thunders after a long time. I was trying to remember why I left them. I did skate them on one board that worked great but it has a GIANT nose so I was able to compensate. But then moved them to a different board and I couldn't really lock the slide in. Glad you found what works for you for all different skateboardings. Stay Rad

Venture V-lights 5.6 on 14 or 14.25 WB here :) I ride them loose or medium and it turns good. It has my favourite grind feeling, probably because of this long wheelbase. Light, snappy, flippy truck… and it looks the best :)

That’s crazy, I just copped these yesterday. First pair of ventures ever after over 20 years of skating lol loving em so far , but only have had sloppy sessions on em!

i like ventures and indys. i usually go for standard weight/cast plates. ventures on a 14" wb and indys on a 14.25" have a basically identical axle-axle wb. ventures seem to slappy bs crook better. i really love the stock purple bushings

Forged hollow axles are often stronger because the metal is heat treated on the inside as well

When Ben Degros moves to Ventures over his "All Time Favorite Truck". The Indy Standards. For obvious reasons. You made a choice with Ventures. (Thunders were on par. Just different strokes...)

Love my venture hollows they ground to the axle quick but not a deal breaker. There mall grab game is weak

I just think the grind on Ventures are a little sludgy but once you get it, then you can be Agro

Have you ever considered doing a review of a 7.75? I’ve got a 7.75 31.25L 13.8wb on venture vlight lows and 50mm slim bones and it’s a fun setup. Not my daily though

I really like them. Just like you, flips and manuals have improved. But I really am having trouble with slappies. Have you ever tried their loose bushing kit? I’m curious if it’s worth it.

Is Venture trucks coming out with a different baseplate? Where the front)/outer truck holes sit out more. So you can use a normal t-tool to tighten the front /outer nuts. Now the front/outer holes are partly under the hanger. Love your content❤
