Will and Chris (Frontier State Overland) are joined by Gari (‪@GeefromBC‬ ) and Shi (‪@OutandBackOregon‬) as they Overland from Boise to Bend to attend Overland Expo PNW where Will had two films in the Film Fest. This crew has a ton of fun and plenty of Shenanigans while seeing some of the most beautiful and vast country Oregon has to Offer.

You do get moon dust on Alvord...and lots of regular dust out on the Central Oregon desert stretches...BUT you also get some amazing views...totally worth it!

Next time you're at Steen's Mountain, give a nod and say hello to my uncle, Gerald Don Geary. He was one of a group of government employees who perished in a plane crash there in the 80' s. 🙏🙏🙏. Safe journeys. Great vids....

@@Venture2Roam Trails out beyond Willow Creek Hotsprings. Trails around BLM Sunstone collection area. Trails all over Virgin Valley Hotsprings (Nevada) and out past the opal mines. Lots of fun stuff to explore out in these areas.

I really enjoy your videos and the enthusiasm you have for these adventures. I wish I was physically tagging along on every one of them……You know what would be great, is a link to a map of your routes? I often have to stop the video just to figure out where you are at on google maps. I make it happen but it takes time.

I’m so glad to hear you are liking my vids!! I don’t include coords because there a big downside once the video lives forever on the internet that these places get ruined. However, I have been including more map graphics as reference points for those watching who are to put together the route. It’s a balance on my end. Was your road up from the playa the one right across from the entrance to Alvord Hot Springs?

Kind of..if by across you mean across the Playa. It's like 8 miles across that thing. You can enter at Frog Springs on the mountain side of the Playa, or where we did...on the desert side. Both good optoins!

So I "Overland" via motorcycle. This looks like a great adventure bike trip. Is there anywhere I can find a .gpx file of the route? Also, how early in the year do you suppose this can be done? I live in S.E. Idaho so I know about the high desert country and how it can be tricky too early or too late in the year.

I don’t post GPX files, but you can DM on IG and I’ll point you in the right direction. It all depends on precip. I think you could do this as early as April depending on snow pack…but there are multiple ways around Steens…so this could even potentially be a winter trip if it was a dry winter.

@Venture2Roam, Awesome well done, the road less traveled, spectacular views and camping experiences, I enjoy watching all of you guys, subscribed to three of your traveling buddies, yes those long drives are a killer, while traveling abroad during my truck driving career doing 9-10 1/2 hour days I'm burnt-out and I'm retired now taking a break and hoping to join up with you guys on overlanding camping exploring, love your channel and keep doing what your doing brah 👌 stay safe and safe travels brahda 👍 🤙✌ 👊

This was refreshing..good group, vehicle setups, storytelling, cinematography, exploration, production, narration etc...I dig it...if I can offer my .02, consider slowing down on some of the scene transitions, it feels like you're cramming and I'm getting dizzy trying to keep up... nevertheless, I definitely want to keep seeing your adventures..! We have a garmin inreach mini…but nothing for a cell boost. I kind of like being disconnected to be honest…as long as I can get help in an emergency.

I do not blame many of the private ranchers for closing off access across their lands. So many people abuse the areas and do not pay to repair the damage. It is frustrating to drive for miles only to come across a short section of private land and see a gate and sign "Private No Trespassing" . All users need to respect private property and also our public lands. Over use and abusive will result in reduced access to these lands. Think! leave no trace, i.e. no tracks across fields and meadows, do not built multiple fire pits ( we not have portable fire pits). Take home ALL of your trash and any others trash you may find.

Very good advice and perspective, thanks for sharing. I don’t blame them either…but there are times when public roads are blocked when they shouldn’t be. You’re message about treading lightly and leave no trace are spot on.
