QUICK UPDATE! I was just told that Venum has INCREASED the price of their Velcro gloves by $50 to $219! I’m not sure the reasoning behind this but that’s very high considering the competition. I feel the previous price of $169 was already on the border of what people were willing to pay. The lace ups have also increased to $249.

I saw that too! I wonder if it's a glitch and emailed them. I ordered the black/gold Shields after your review since I suffered a boxer's fracture 10 weeks ago. Might be another month before I can punch again. It's hard to find any info online about when boxers can return to training after a broken knuckle.

Great review. I’m going to have to be a rich man to satisfy my tastes for expensive gear. Yet great analogy about the paint 🎨 on the gloves 🥊. I’ll have to think about now. Do they chip or tear over time?

So far they’ve held up ok, but I can imagine if there’s one thing that will crack/ eventually wear it will definitely be the rubber coating.

They look very nice, comfortable and protective for your hands. The wrist support is easily the biggest dealbreaker though. The price doesn't seem earned either.

Hi, great video! I would like to ask how these gloves compare to the Rival RB1 Ultra in terms of protection. The shield is on sale for 125 USD, which puts both gloves at the same price now

I'm looking for 14 oz training boxing gloves for speedwork. I think we have about the same hand size. What gloves do you recommend for our handsize? As These venum gloves dont have enough rigid wrist support.

Thanks man! Yeah the shields are definitely more comfortable than the 3.0s and you can make a natural fist easier for sure. It’s just an overall more softer glove IMO

This is probably the only Venum glove that looks decent. Still a bit loud design wise but if I were to ever get Venum, I'd get a custom Shield Lace Up.

Wrist support is decent, pretty standard to other hook and loop gloves. With as soft as the structure of the glove is, if you have wrist issues I would definitely wrap your hands good or tape them up.

Hello, can you tell me if the Venum Bangkok gloves have better padding that is harder and better suited to fist feet than the giant 3.0? I found that the giants 3.0 did not protect the hand well enough, they were too soft. Thanks to you.

I would say the Sabas Super Softs are pretty comparable, very similar padding and feel

@@csquaredboxing The Venom graphics is just killing me on this glove, look cheap for the price and the shield is one of the worse of all the Venom high end gloves

I agree, for the price you would think Venum would create a different look for their higher end boxing gloves to separate them from the rest of their line.

You should do a review of Fire Sports Mexico gloves. They’re a Mexican company and recently their gloves have been featured in the biggest amateur boxing events in Mexico.

i have 10oz boons, but are the 16oz soft enough to spar in? the 10oz feels pretty dense, top quality glove tho imo

@@dukeofcai it really depends on your weight. They're definetly dense compared to Top King and Twins. If you're below 170 or don't spar hard you should be fine. I'm around 250lbs so I use the 16oz for bag and pads

how do the shields compare to winnings or the sabas supersoft/R2C C17?

Shields are more broken in than Winnings and the padding is more pillowy. More similar to Supersoft in both profile and broken in feel, just a little more pillowy. C17 is stiffer out the box and denser padding with a wider hand compartment,
