There aren't words that can describe the feelings this woman gives me, she won this match at 43 years old in one leg. Many would have withdraw, but Venus fought to the end.

I hope that this piece of trash umpire will be fired forever for such dishonesty towards Camilla Giorgi. Anyone agreeing with you are clearly clueless and dumb losers just like you.

You can tell just how much the win means to Venus, especially since she's had trouble closing out matches over during her comeback. She has nothing left to prove but her love of the sport keeps her going. What a champion!

Yes... becoming older it's happening to almost every excellent tennis professional, closing it out - always nothing but the business end of a match - becomes a burden all of a sudden and it happened to Navratilova, Federer and many more ... and the relief of getting over that hurdle was obvious in Venus beaming smile after match point, almost like a little kid in a candy shop 😊

It was a great close match with both having chances to win. Giorgi is a top 50-60 player in the world and Venus showed flashes of her greatness and that Williams power. Makes it that much more impressive winning in over three hours.

A good 31 year old Camila Girogi vs. a 43 year old, injured Venus Williams. I had no idea that she was still playing. Three sets of grit and determination, and she won. I noticed the "highlights" were mostly on Camilia, but Venus won in the end. Just amazing.

Once a champion, always a champion. Guys mind you that this is her second match back since January when she got injured. She also played injured during this match and she's almost 44 years old and still won. This goes to show you that age is nothing but a number. Wow what a match that lasted that long. Venus has really improved her serve. Unfortunately she gets injured and had to play her absolute best to win in three tough sets. I'm short of words to express my admiration for this great champion. That smile in the end is everything. Se served for the set twice and got broken yet still finds a way to won. A true champion all the way!

I'm here music hater, tennis hater and Beautiful human relations hater. The troll with ugly tennis should have retired many, many years ago and tennis would be better(!!!). Giorgi with her at times insane amounts of UEs can obviously lose to anyone, but I think there the set-up is more likely. Anyway mockers of the level of WTA will have hilarious time after this fiasco. :(

Words cannot describe how much Venus is as a person and a player. She is just simply a living legend, an icon and an inspiration!!! 👸 43 years young and she battled through the pain for 3 hours and 16 minutes to get past Giorgi who herself is dangerous on the grass 🌱 I am so relieved Venus didn’t squander yet another match where she had a decent lead like she did against Naef last week. It was EXTREMELY close to happen again today and thankfully it never 🙏 Many praises to the one and only VENUS WILLIAMS 👏🎉💪🇺🇸

@@PAngelo1969 - I didn't know Camila's coach is the issue. I always wondered why she has never won a big title yet (WTA-500, 1000, or even a Grand Slam). She is one of the fittest women on tour similar to Maria Sakkari but both players just have not caught a break. With such a competitive filed of players now (Iga, Coco, Sabalenka, Rybakina), it will be hard for Camila to advance to deep rounds in key tournaments.

This takes me back to the first time I saw Venus playing on grass. She had beads in her hair and to me she was flying on the court and hitting hard. I was glued to the tv and asked my dad, who is this? From that moment on, I was a diehard tennis and Venus fan. Those were wonderful times and it reminds me that representation matters.
