I love what you got! I was at the outlet store 2 weeks ago, and I also noticed that the quality seemed lower. In addition, the games they're playing with outlet pricing are getting ridiculous. I bought the Ultralight Ultimate Travel Tote for about $65, which was a fair price. The outlet price tags used to say about 2x the amount they actually charged, which is bad enough. This trip my $65 bag had a retail price of $175, which is absolutely ridiculous. I love Vera, but their outlet pricing feels deceptive.

You are so RIGHT!! Games indeed :-( I don't like games and I've been sadly watching the quality and finishing details decline year after year. Sometimes I wonder why I keep going back. But I do still like some of the things and have accepted that the older stuff is just better. I'm not sure I will continue to suck it up though. As long as I get good deals and like and use the things I'm buying then I'll allow myself to keep adding to the collection. Eventually though... Sounds like you got a great tote though. Hope the bag and the travels are bringing you much joy!

As soon as I saw that you got an outlet LU/Reactive Hipster, I wanted to hear your thoughts on the new zipper pull tab thingum...I noticed that change during my trip to factory store on Mon. & am curious how it will hold up (function, operate, withstand repeated use) over time-and how that might compare to prior versions of the feature.

I do hope it holds up. It has potential. I still don't prefer it honestly and I do think that there is a chance that they could come off. Will see how it goes...
