Just a small heads up: In a few days there will be a new Character Demo and then after around 2-3 weeks, another. I would recommend you watching the Versions and Character Teaser (Yes they're different from Demos) trailers as normal and "ignore" them for a bit, and then, after finished, you can watch the Character Demo and Teaser for these 2 new characters (Neuvilette and Wriostheley).

I just realised that the older trailers has less editing and shows more of how their abilities work in game… The elemental reactions and combos you can pull off between character abilities one of the most amazing points in this game..

I totally understand being wary of gacha games lol, but if it helps, genshin is probably one of the only games where the gacha aspect honestly feels like an accessory rather than something that is a need. I like to think of it as a game with gacha, rather than a gacha that is a game, cuz its not ever rlly forced on you (if that makes any sense?). As an f2p i can say that you do earn enough of the in game currency to "pull" for the characters (not that I'm unwilling for more- ), and the rest of the content is completely free!

The key thing with these demos is that there are four star characters and five star characters. Four star characters usually don’t get the love from demo creators that five stars do. There’s going to be an amazing new five star demo released within the next week. If you want to see how far they’ve come since the older demos, check it out when it drops. Without even having seen it, Genshin fans know it’s going to be incredible. It may be the best one yet. And sadly, some of the first five stars like Jean and Diluc also didn’t get demos. So check them out in game if you play!

Alhaitham was an Egyptian scientist from the Middle Ages. Genshin Impact's Alhaitham is inspired in him and this is why he is portrayed as a wise man with an inmense knowledge. I really liked that Mihoyo did this and he's one of my favorite characters in the game. I don't remember right now but there are more characters in the game inspired by real historical characters. Most of them are NPCs or non playable characters, though. Also some characters are inspired by fictional fairy tail characters. Wanderer is inspired by both Pinocchio and Hyakkimaru (from Dororo). And all of the Fatui represent the typical characters of the Italian Renaissance comedy and use those characters as their nicknames.

Although the rapiers are swords, and swords are claymores in this game, if they are using their hands, they use a catalyst (Weapons: Swords, Bows, Polearm, Claymore, Catalyst). And the elements in the game are Pyro (fire), Hydro (water), Cryo (ice), Electro (lighting), Anemo (wind), Geo (rock), and Dendro (grass).

well congrats on the 1k subs and welcome to the genshin fandoms, the fans tend to flock to new players experiencing the game for the first time, as you may have already noticed. Also you watched the trailers in reverse order, instead of from the first released to last, you did it last released to first, which is why they slowly got a bit worse over time, some of the last ones were super basic, because they were made before the game even came out, and the team that made them was still getting a hang of things. The demo's are a great way to get a feel for the world of genshin and its characters, always recommended watching them early into the game, or even before playing like this.

There will be another character demo coming out in a few days and it’s going to be one of the most important character within the story and lore of the game (Neuvillette), so I recommend checking it out when it comes out!

Even though genshin is a gacha that doesn't mean you need to take out your credit card to progress. I would say that genshin is one of the most f2p friendly gacha games out there. Also genshin impact has around 10 million words of lore which is insane for a free game or pretty much any game.

Idk if anyone has said this yet but Yes! Yae Miko has fox ears because she's a Kitsune Youkai! Also Kirara having two tails is because she's a Nekomata, a cat Youkai with two (or more?) tails! The game delves into quite a bit of mythology from different places around the world For instance Nilou doesn't actually have horns, it's more so her dance attire which is modeled after the Goddess of Flowers in game If you wanna know more about Cyno, he is pretty obviously based off Anubis The feather and his desire to purge humanity of it's transgressions and uphold justice are also based off that Because Anubis would weigh a human's soul on a scale with a feather, being judge, jury, and executioner in a sense because if the human's soul weighed more than the feather, they were deemed guilty of their sins If the soul weighed the same as the feather, they were found innocent and their soul received no punishment Cyno is the General Mahamatra for this reason (essentially chief of their law enforcement and a judge that weighs out punishments for people's crimes, also clearly a feared fighter and capable tracker) As for Xiao, his is an edgelord but for good reason! He's pretty much constantly at risk of going completely insane due to karma he's accumulated from eons of slaughter (most fallen gods still linger from the times of war as malevolent energies which can also cause his karma to affect him more), as said in his trailer Those binds represented that and how he'll always be trapped with it until his final days Adepti are essentially demigods in a broad sense of the word as well Xiao being an adeptus, with Ganyu and Yanfei being half human and half adeptus YaoYao isn't an adeptus at all but she is around them a lot as a student basically! And Albedo... I'll just say he is _definitely_ a powerful person I won't say much about him cuz spoilers but his lore is extremely interesting! Anyway sorry for the long comment lmfao my brain hyperfocused again

Zhongli's Trailer was one of the first ones they released and till now it remains the Holy Grail of Genshin trailers.

i love watching you react and guess stuff that seems completely mundane to me after playing for so long. i’d love to see you react to the character trailers as someone else mentioned and also the story trailers and perhaps some of the cutscenes! (maybe the liyue finale cutscene if i had to recommend one to start with) characters of lower rarity will have less out there trailers most of the time (thought not always) and some very early characters never got demos. you can also usually tell which characters are important to the plot and/or were expected to be most popular by how over the top their demos are lol. also characters from further back had less flashy demos like you noticed, they tended to show combat with less editing which is why their skills and ultimates end up looking less impressive as well. also 100% agree i would love to see cloud in this game

As I'm sure you've been told, you watched the videos from newest to oldest. The demos definitely increased in quality as they went on. There use to be a big difference in quality between the demos of 4 star characters and the 5 star characters, but with the latest additions they've up the quality and attention they're giving to the 4 star characters. Also, all of the characters fall into 5 categories for weapons: sword, claymore (great sword), bow, polearm, and catalyst (which acts is like a floating book or item at their side); and each character has 1 element they can use for their abilities: anemo (wind, represented by teal), geo (earth, represented by yellow), electro (lightning, represented by purple), dendro (plants, represented by green), hydro (water, represented by blue), pyro (fire, represented by red), and cryo (ice, represented by a very pale blue). Sidenote, not all character's color schemes match the colors of the elements. Lastly, Aloy is the only crossover character, it was done as a deal with Playstation to have Genshin on the PS4. Seeing how Aloy got a lot of hate when she came out, I don't think they'll do another crossover character.

Some info on Genshin, each character wields a certain weapon and there are 5, sword, claymore, polearm, bow, and catalyst and each can use an element or “vision” as it’s called with the exception of the Traveler and Dainslief and those visions are Anemo(wind), Geo, Electro, Dendro(plants), Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo. Each element has an archon or god and so far, we’ve met 5, Venti(Anemo), Zhongli(Geo), Raiden Shogun(Electeo), Nahida(Dendro), and most recently, Furina(Hydro), we haven’t met the Pyro Archon yet and the various people from Schneznaya say that the Tzaritza is the Cryo Archon. I would recommend the version trailers

If you didn't know, Venti, Zhongli, Raiden Shogun and Nahida are the gods/archons of there respective elements, anemo, geo, electro, and dendro.

I've been playing Genshin for year and a half. it's very nice that you don't actually need to spend money to complete any ingame content. If you don't want to spend, you won't, plain and simple. There are no ads, no forcing like "buy these gems and get this useful stuff". it's there and of course it will tempt you to get that nice shiny new character, but as I said, you can comfortably be f2p (and get many characters). This game is more about making a team and making it synergize. They hold your hand in every introduction of a new mechanic, so you don't have to be afraid you won't get what to do. :)

Tip: if you start playing genshin, zhongli and childe's (tartaglia) banners are up and will only be up for a couple of more days, just in case you want those characters if you start playing

jsyk, the weapon type kokomi, wanderer (the drip guy), heizou and baizhu (and some other ones) use is called "catalyst". basically fancy way of being designated magic users (tho in case of heizou its more unique cuz he basically just... punches and kicks enemies using his element, which is anemo/air). There's also swords (both normal swords and katanas and whatnot are in this category, so like nilou and ayato are both here), claymore (itto as example), bow (tighnari as example) and spear (cyno as example). In some cases, however, characters can swap to other weapons, tho that is still very rare from my experience, and its mostly a way to change mechanics, rather that genuine weapon swap (like raiden and childe who swap on ult/skill, or mika who can use a crossbow as part of his rotations. itto's claymore doesnt change - his claymore just becomes a giant popsicle lol). The "quality" of trailers somewhat indicate the rarity of the characters (up until you reach the most early ones, like keqing and qiqi). usually the ones with less pizzazz and mostly using in-game animations in them are 4*, while ones with fancier effects and unique animations are 5* ones.

btw if you were wondering , cyno , the guy from 30:52 is based on anubis, egyptian god of death and mumifiacation and the afterlife

One thing you might notice is just how great genshins music is. It’s one of my favorite parts of the game, and they never miss. Maybe you’ll check out some boss themes? But it’s completely understandable if you want to play the story more blind lol. Good reaction!

you should probably watch teyvat chapter storyline video. it shows the area (timeline) that the game will go in. I believe it came out like 4 months before genshin actually started. You may need to watch a reaction video.

Also just a heads up Tighnaris English voice actor has been changed because of questionable things he did. He’s now voiced by Zachary Gordon. So if he sounds different in game than in his trailer that’s why A lot of the ones you see that don’t show off any abilities are buffers that boost your damage or healers. Fischl got skipped lol

I am more of a casual gamer and one thing I want to point out is that the game gives you in game currency to save up to get chars you may want. They're called primo gems. I am poor and haven't sunk any money into this game, so I thought you should know about that. You can get Primo gems pretty easily but it does take time to build them up and there are certain chars you can get free too through different trials (Xiangling and Collei are examples of this) or special events (like I got Layla during the previous Summer event). The world of Genshin takes place in a country called Teyvat and it's divided into 7 regions, but only 5 are available now atm. And you can't even access one of them until you progress the main story passed the 2 first regions. But here's the list of regions from earliest to latest, and I'll mention the 2 unreleased regions, although one has been talked about since the beginning. Each region is inspired by real world places. Mondstadt- Ameno (air)- Germany Liyue- Geo (earth)- China Inazuma- Electro (lightning)- Japan (this is the one you need to progress the main storyline to reach because it is a region filled with islands) Sumeru- Dendro (grass)- SE Asia and Egypt/Middle east Fontaine- Hydro (water)- France w/ some Italian influences (only 1 part of Fontaine has been release so far though, the next part will be dropping in a week) Unrelease Regions- Natlan- Pyro (Fire)- Indigenous America, Spain Snezhnaya- Cryo (Ice)- Russia- this region gets mentioned and you meet NPCs, chars, and even 1 playable char (Childe) from this region. I won't say why, but there's a reason for this. Oh, this world does have gods and the ones that get the most screen time are the Archons who are basically the creators (and sometimes rulers) of the 7 regions. Hence why the main story quest are called Archon Quests because one of the main goals is meeting these archons. I won't say who they are, but they do become playable.

if you weren't planning to, you should react to the character teasers, they focus more on the story and personalities of the characters, while the demos are more to show their skills in combat with fancy editing lol

imho you should watch it from the very beginning (early trailers) and batch per batch. No need to marathon them because it will be tiring. By doing this you can savor them better ;)

Zhongli, Raiden Shogun, Venti, and Nahida are actually Gods of Geo (Earth), Electro (Lightning), Anemo (Wind), and Dendro (Plant), that's why their trailers seem a little more extra aside from Venti since he was in the first row of character banners (Very Old Trailer). Other later characters such as Yelan, Xiao and Kazuha have flashy trailers too since they're included in the meta.

When Candace said she'd like to look into Traveler's future with her amber eye she was referring to a particular rumor about her. Since she has heterochromia (different colored eyes) some people believe that her blue eye can see into people's past, while her amber eye - into the future. She doesn't actually have these kinds of powers, hence the "if I could" part.
