I've been a Vergil fan since day one, But I just hate that he gets treated like a step child by everyone in boxing. The WBC just put Thurman over him and Golden Boy is NOT promoting him like he should be. They didn't even go live for his media workout on their KZfaq channel or social media!!! They did everything for Ryan Garcia on his last fight but couldn't even give Vergil new content...smh I just hope Vergil gets his title shot soon!!!

Well, he only has 18 fights, he’s still a pup. Look at Jaron- he’s hitting 30 fights and he’s still hasn’t fought any elite yet. They’ll get there chance. I think Virgil should still slowly work his way up. It’ll serve him well to learn new tricks.

he just ducked Bud and Spence to get a fight with Stanionis for the WBA regular. Thats why he has no problem with keith going to no.1 . Cause he had no interest in losing to Spence. Hopefully Stanionis or McKinson stretches him for this nonsense.

@@FuShengAlex Thurman is irrelevant and Ortiz should be pissed that he has been put at #1 but he isnt because something was discussed with him and the WBC to allow this to happen. He had to of turned down something to give up that #1 spot. Regardless, Ortiz had been #1 in the WBC for a while and did nothing to get the Spence fight. This is typical of protected Golden BOy fighters (Munguia and Zurdo). He is, right now, currently, the #1 contender in the WBO but has done nothing to pursue a fight with Bud. Why, because he is with Golden Boy and they know he gets beat by Bud. The Bud-Spence fight is not happening this year, but that doesnt matter anyway. A sanctioning body cant (shouldn't) tell a contender that they have to wait months, perhaps over a year, so that they can give time for Bud and SPence to make a deal. Its Vergil who isnt putting pressure on Bud or Spence to get a fight.
