When I saw Noura Ibrahim tapping on her earpiece to notify B. Dave Walters that he was muted made me think of the scene in "Star Wars" where one of the heroes walks out of the Millennium Falcon disguised as a Stormtrooper.

I really enjoy the Slightly Evil amnestic "fallen angel" being a bit of a hopeless romantic.

Stumbled across this whilst looking up Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft, and at first I have to admit I dismissed it as I struggle to pay attention to things like audiobooks. I am so, so, glad that I came back and gave it a shot. I watched from 0.5 to this episode in the past day and change, it’s dominated my television and kept me up late. The sheer amount of creativity, from Brother Uriah’s fear of, well, everything but a determination to do good, to Nahara’s almost obsessive need to accumulate trophies has had me hooked. Desmond’s deep growly voice, Fen’s mysterious past, Valentine’s snoopiness and Tatyana’s SMASH! I have recommended this to all my friends and have sent it several times to my new players with the promise that Curse of Strahd shall be our next adventure. Thank you all, keep being awesome.

I'm really enjoying this series! I feel like its rare to see so much theater of the mind action nowadays. Also, it took me until this episode to realize who's playing Azalin Rex! This makes me even more intrigued by character arcs!

I love Nahara, she collects weird items along her way. My Dwarf does the same with kobold pritch forks/spears. Since they're very small (the size of dinner forks) he's trying to build a dinner set.

B.Dave Walters is the best GM I have had the pleasure of watching on any platform. The whole cast is also amazing. I feel like I can see everything playing out like a movie in my head and I just feel like a kid again jumping up and down in front of the tv. All of you beautiful people bring so much life to this game and it brings me joy every episode I watch. Thank you all very much for everything you do

I was cooking dinner while listening to that opening combat, and when Valentine got hit I yelped so loudly in sympathetic pain that my husband thought I'd burned myself. This was BRUTAL for level 1!

After the colourful (?) horrific (?) descriptions of the various Reborn and Dhampir PCs looks, I really want to take a close look at the final version of the new races when Van Ricten's Guide comes out.

Their first real fight and the DM throws them into the deep end. That plant thing was hardcore.

Always such a great show. I hate that I missed it live this week but am very thankful for the VODs. Can't wait to see what happens next week and find out if the wee baby finally get to rest and heal.

Wow it is is so interesting, such a great story description and roleplaying... amazing cast.. one thing, that would be the cherry on top, would be able to see the pictures too and perhaps the dndbeyond character sheets... just putting it out there...

lol I love how everyone always has to ask again how to do criticals, because the answer is always "double the dice" which is ambiguous; are we doubling the number of die rolled and taking that sum, or rolling the normal number of die and then doubling that sum? Some of the players are definitely doing the latter, which is a normal practice for 5e, but I prefer rolling more dice instead of just doubling the result. And technically the DM keeps saying double the dice, not double the result of the roll. But... people don't talk that precise about these things, so either he is being very specific or he isn't, and it's hard to say which lol. I love that the players are struggling and trying to tease out which it is, but none of them want to press the DM, because no one wants to seem like the one person who isn't sure or come off as pedantic like I am right now. Statistically the two methods are almost the same result, it's just more likely to be very high or very low numbers if you roll and double the result versus rolling twice. Technically rolling double the quantity of dice is 1 point higher, because the average is x.5 on any even sided die, but you risk getting a max roll on one and a min roll on the other and wishing you'd doubled the high one so psychologically there are tradeoffs to both. What were we talking about?

I'm amazed you can do battles without even mapping anything... I don't think I could.. lol... over 30 years of mapping and figuring out angles and shit... I would be lost with all the freedom! Also, I play with engineers... You don't know how many times we apply (a square + b square) = (c square) to figure out whether we hit or not... or to figure out the flight path when we do Fly... I'm just grateful I don't play with lawyers, that would be way worse!
