this is a really nice story, I'm pretty sure some pros have started playing controller in the beginning of the game and as time when on they eventually switched to kbm. I'm pretty sure they struggled when playing kbm for the first time but got use to it eventually, great video btw.

Kinda crazy witnessing some random average kid who uploaded a keyboard mouse vid to soon becoming the next big upcoming yt, I remember seeing your first upload and I subbed just to so I can get the noti for ur next upload so I can see the progression and a week/2weks later your subs slowly but not anything normaly they started going up, I still remember the first stream I watched from u, u only had about 3-6 viewers and I think it was just due to the notis not going out but I’m not sure and that was the first ever stream I’ve watched form u.

9:32 feel the exact same way. felt like u can only get so good on controller and eventually u can’t get better. Like u said that u skill cap. With keyboard and mouse, ur restarting but that skull cap is way higher and the improvement speed is way higher. So once u get up to that skill cap on kbm u are 10x better than u were on controller. And tbh, on kbm there isn’t really a skill cap. Ur always getting better. I switched and it’s worth it

I switched to n, and I saw some people failing to play it on controller because there is no aim assist. So I grinded Valorant and hit gold 3 on controller by learning gyro controls. 10 months later, and Fortnite adds gyro to the game. Now it's possible for a controller player to do anything a mouse player can without aim assist. I just started playing Fortnite on controller cuz I only ever played it on mouse, and I am already almost as good as I was on mouse because I have grinded gyro that long btw if anyone wants a gyro guide I have one on my yt

U are speaking facts so much in this vid i switched to kbm around a month ago and for the first week it was really hard so i would bounce back and forth in the second week and now i am grinding kbm and the reason i switched was bc i felt i hit a skill cap

Thumbs up I never play games on controller. Started playing this last year. Great advice. The only issue is host talks super f-ing weird. Probably not used to hosting/speaking. Definitely a good idea to switch over and try to get settings right.

I switched to kbm a few months ago and I don’t regret it, my builds are 1000x much better than on controller the only thing is my aim with no AA it can be hard to hit shots sometimes but I don’t let that get to me because I’m building experience

nice story bro and good content, my story started when i had no Xbox or PC but i had a Chromebook and on my Chromebook i would play game simeler to Fortnite like 1v1.lol on KBM and i got better and better and i finally got an xbox and started KBM it was hard at first but i got the hang of it because there was a bit of imput delay and i could do quad edits and 5 edits and im still on xbox till this day.>_

In 2018 kbm on console was so bad but now it's playable and u can get pretty decent

I played Fortnite since like 1st day of season 4 as I didn’t have anything to play it on until I got my Xbox, and I played on that since this year, and when I switched, I was already better in a week. I played around 2 hours a day until season x, where I quit for 4 seasons, which I regret, but my skill didn’t change and I wasn’t rusty. I highly recommend switching

You're the reason I got my first pc and I didn't get Fortnite as my first game I got rust u had about 100 hours on rust so I was used to keyboard and mouse and when I played fn for the first time I was already above average and now that I'm playmore the m enjoying the game lots and wish to get even better thanks for the motivation.

this christmas i got a xbox series s and for about 1 week on that console i was controller i have been on kbm for 1 month now and your the reason i switched and im so glad i did keep up the great work

I played on my family xbox one s until season 8, when my dad got an gaming laptop. i downloaded fortnite on it and started playing on kbm a bit but mostly controller. I would always play against my friends and tell them i was on kbm but i was actually on controller. I started getting progress slowly on kbm. Then i quit fortnite in like chapter 2 season 4 and started playing cs go and minecraft for like 5 seasons. That way i got familiar with kbm. Then i came back to fortnite on christmas when my friend got an xbox series s and something just clicked and i was quite good. Now im a kbm player and i am dog water on controller.

The new Xbox series s is good with kbm and there is no delay I’m pretty sure, also a good monitor could help! Don’t mark my word for this because I am getting both of these and I hope to switch to kbm bc I can quad edit on control and I’m kind of at a cap of my skill level and I could be way better on kbm.

I switched to keyboard and mouse, and in 2 months, i was way better than i was on 1.5 years on controller. Imo, on controller, I just tried to make my builds look good, didn't care about aiming or anything, when i switched to kbm,my builds,edits we're better in the first 2 weeks, but my aim wasn't. in 2 months was when my kbm aim was better than my controller aim

Thank you Vermax when I switched I looked up stuff for motivation when you came up I just got a ton of motivation know I am cracked on keyboard and way better than i was on controller.

COntrary to what you may think controller is still a great input and it has some advantages such as better movement. It is also much easier to learn controller and far cheaper. So in conclusion, keyboard and mouse is a great input but so is controller as well.

said you were gonna show sensitivity etc settings but didn't. anyways I just got a kb/mouse for my PS5 for Fortnite a week ago. my aim is a problem that I can't get under control yet. its still shaky. I'm torn between getting a TV that does 120 hz or just building a PC to game on. I'm a Mac guy and the thought of running Windows again hurts my head.

i switched to keyboard and mouse about 6 months ago ( November 12th 2021 - April 9th 2022) and i have improved so much from when i started. when i first got a good gaming keyboard and mouse i was terrible cause i had a new mouse at it was a lot more sensitive than my old one. and then i got used to it and now i can absolutely destroy my sweaty friends.

When I switched to laptop in chapter 2 season 3 I was still controller because I was getting off my Xbox and PlayStation then in chapter 2 season 5 I started playing keyboard and mouse and got my first win but it’s the best thing I did on fortnite now I got a pc and It helped me so much

I play on a laptop (not meant for gaming) at first I was able to get 20 to 30 fps but then I learned how to get 60 to 120 fps and that is what got we encouraged to actually grind (I used to switch between controller and KBM)

i finally fully switched but the building is very hard, but everything else improved but I only have a laptop and Xbox, the Xbox is fine but my laptop runs at 30 fps at minimum settings and drops a lot but I don't like using the Xbox

hey, i switched about a year or 2 ago and i got used to keybinds for building with only my keyboard buttons but im comfortable with them and feel i dont need to switch them around. and i understand what u mean abt tourneys because i play kbm on console. usually i encourage using your own made up keybinds but recently i got my first mechanical keyboard and i got the glorious model o mouse so i recently got to use side buttons. I just dont use them for building/editing i have one of them at my last slot and one as my ping button. my keybinds r wierd so i will tell u them wall - q floor - f stair - n cone - v. i only really think my stair is a wierd bind but i got used to it so i am just going to stick to those keybinds for now.

This makes me want to switch to KBM, I'm decent on controller but I'm not getting any better so I want to switch and improve at FN so I can finally enjoy the game again

hahah great story. When i was on xbox i COULD not play KBM. But when i made the switch to PC, i told myself i will only use a controller on Rocket leauge. And i have stuck with it. I play fortnite, apex and a bunch of games like that.
