So what would you generally use now? If you had to pick one. 24% extra damage to bosses and elites or 12% for hordes and patrols. Anyone can reliably deal with horde And patrols are just to be taken care of slowly and carefully, 12% would barely make a difference. I struggle to find an excuse to use Lingering.

@@667S Lingering works with ranged weapons, making it good with the staff for example, bc one of those leave is gotta crit... But ye, for this build, I'd pick double toxin any time

@@667S The thing is the 24% apply to your teammates damages as well, so i think it has more value on most target, because as u said, target that are killed fast doesn't need it anyway, but for Chaos Warriors/Bosses it can make the difference

I was considering using jav. I could see it working well with this.

I seconds this, javelin is my favourite elf weapon. The melee dps is surprisingly potent and the speed at which you can pick off specials mid combat is really 👌 If you could set it to block with like mouse 3 or something, I don't think I'd switch to my melee.

@@WetMagic especially since it would fill in the dual sword’s weaknesses (that being armored enemies) and in melee, (assuming it gets to melee,) its pretty easy to headshot with the jav and I believe it’s a piercing weapon as well (could be wrong on that though)

If you have Flamethrower on Engi, you kinda limit yourself to use the anti Armour crank gun version as they are good at opposite things

@@prich0382 That, or just use a normal chaingun for specials, and then get a good anti-armor melee weapon with some power vs stats like Armor/Chaos on the charm. I.e. Great Hammer, Coghammer, PickAxe, Great Axe

@@greyfalconow9467 That's just jank af. Crank gun for specials? If you are trying to farm Ult with Flamethrower which is only up to 5% per 4 seconds just to shoot specials? Weird af. Far better going for Crank for Hoard and Unarmoured Elites then something like Handgun for Specials or Masterwork with best breakpoints for Stormvermin and okay job at Specials.

Does engi also finally benefit from ability cooldown reductions?

@@Laban6112 Nope. "Cooldown Reduction" some takes away a portion of the ability bar for timed ults which is everyone but Engis. So say Iron Breaker, his ult is 120 seconds, with Cooldown Reduction, it'll start the bar at 108 seconds remaining, as if 12 seconds have already been counted after Ult use. What Fatshark NEED to do is make is so with Experimental Capacitors Talent that he doesn't lose all his stacks after 12 seconds, but rather they go down 1 by 1 every 12 seconds, this way, you'll not have to constantly crank every less then 12 seconds just to keep Stacks at 5, but rather this change will give more flexibility when you can crank and also this will reduce the amount you have to crank in general. He'd be so much better with this ONE change and much less of a pain in the ass to play. We also should be able to crank it even when Ult bar is full so so we can pre crank for when a hoard or something comes.

Is the staffs alt fire not good at high level play or something? It's so good

@@GrimViridian I'm playing almost exclusively on Legend, with pugs or bots. For most enemies, the choice is between having ability to 1-shot them using a javelin or levitate them using a staff, which then requires them to be killed by other means anyway, wasting time and/or ammo for others. The only exception is Rothelms, but I doubt that the ability to delay a couple of them warrants use of the staff, when your class ability already provides decent delay tool in case you need to create some space, and javelin can actually help in dealing dmg to them. Staff also seems to be trash vs bosses, while javelins can do really well. Overall staff's LMB seems very weak against anything. That's why I'm asking, I don't see much benefit for a staff.

I too was very curious about this. On the dummy it looks like it all stacks.

So Atharti’s Delight makes enemies bleed which have been effected by the blackvenom poison when you melee. The poison debuff does spread via lingering blackvenom, but the bleed does not. However, you can melee those other poisoned enemies, making them bleed. Apologies if my phrasing was poor. Hopefully this clears it up.

From my own testing. Which I will admit was brief. It did not look like it to me when I checked. However things will take more damage on later hits if they are staggered which could explain what you saw. I’ll have to double check I suppose.

I was trying with the dummies and it gave me the feeling that the bleed also stacked, seemed to be doing bleed damage more often, so I was surprised when he said it does not stack 😅

It didn’t look like it to me that it stacked damage taken. I could have seen it wrong I guess, but it definitely does double the poison debuff which would let you do more bleed damage.

@@WetMagic just on paper it suggested to me you get 2 poison stacks with recursive toxin which would in turn give you two bleeds from Atharti's and the daggers giving there own bleed for some nutty dot damage. I have no idea if thats how it works in practice though 😅

she still provides more healing and debuffs tons of enemies now, so i'd say she is still probably better than unchained overall

From what I’ve seen I’d still say she’s a great bot just in a different way now. In my experience Kerillian is always a great bot no matter which subclass so I think she’ll still be a good sniper but she just won’t wreck patrols and bosses like she used to. With her new talents she will definitely be debuffing and supporting the team tho!

check it out on the dummy the actual damage you're getting from blackveamon is so small it may as well not exist

I tested it out with a javelin and it does in fact get a 24% damage increase. Maybe I don't know something, like it only works on dummies, but to me seems to stack just fine.

Yeah it's kinda tricky, I mean with Lingering Blackvenom you can easily apply it to entire hordes but with Recursive Toxin + PvInfantry you might kill them faster. Would be sick if you could get both tho

From what I can tell it does not stack the damage taken for enemies. You are probably seeing increased damage on 2nd and third hits due to your level 15 talent. Also dummies aren’t good to test things on. They don’t always interact properly with everything. Try spawning in some enemies in modded realm. It looked to me like it just doubled the amount of the poison debuff though. This would mean twice as much bleed damage I would think if you ran that talent.

@@WetMagic Im not that experienced when it comes to calculating dmg but without the stacking trait i hit normal 19, and crit 38, with the stacking trait i hit normal 23 and crit 43 on the dummy, im no expert by any means, bleeds also go from 6 to 6.75, it might differ on normal enemies but it'd be pretty odd if it stacked only on the dummy, sorry if this all came across as a bit ignorant lol

It's the highest crit buff on a weapon. Closest is xsword charged and... the 3rd attack from the dual swords at 25%

It also has a better blocking profile, almost comparable to à shield. It consumes much less stamina than normal weapons on block.

That's funny because I run my Waystalker with Dual Swords and Resourceful Combatant, and never even knew it had that kind of crit chance lol.

It’s possible I could have seen it wrong, but it didn’t look like it to me when I tested.

Well the thing is it's no longer a body shot easy mode weapon, requires for best damage fully charging and hitting headshots. So it's kinda like playing Salt with Crossbow now which needs headshots on most specials. As I am on console, I can't find out the exact numbers and requirements for best breakpoints.

@@prich0382 Idc if its easy mode or not tbh. But of it is slower and siginifanct weaker than a Longbow I dont knwo what the purpose of this weapon is anymore. Atm you need like 2 HS for everything with it on Legend. Which is just laughable imo. Hopefully someone smater than me can figure out some breakpoints (if there even are any..). ^^
