Only once but the one time my flight got cancelled by horrible weather and we all had to line up to get tickets changed for the next day, and then the day after that, when I got to the customer service counter the second day I had the same person as the first day. I told him that I really appreciated his help during such a bad time, and asked him how bad his commute was to get into work. He told me it was three hours on the bus to get in and two hours to get home. I spent a few more minutes talking to him while he printed my updated ticket and thanked me for not yelling at him him like so many of the other passengers. When I finally got to check in I was shocked when the check in person told me to enjoy my time in the first class lounge. I thought this was just a gesture from the airline due to all the changes and cancellations. When I got to the lounge and got some food (the first in a day other than a chocolate bar due to not having budgeted for a two day layover) and a drink I was shocked to see that the customer service person had upgraded me to first class and put a little post it note in thanking me for being so polite. So always be polite. It is the right thing to do and may come back multiple times to you.

I always am kind to any customer service rep..... I was one all my career life. It's a tough job. They are the frontline and take all the hits. You get the best service if you are NICE to these folks!!!!! They want to do right by the customers. Nothing is gained by being rude. Thank them. Tell them they are appreciated. It may be the only good words they hear all day.

Yes, this is my workday everyday, medical billing, awful job, not worth the stress. Nobody gets their bills (yeah sure) and everyone tries to deny their services, it’s never ending. Veronica is helping me get through the days until I retire next year, I’m counting down the weeks! 🎉

I am glad I got out of customer service call center work I luckily I got out with out becoming and alcoholic or drug addict. The way people speak to Customer Service representative is insane at times and the ones that are working at home I don’t know if I would even be mad if they snorted cocaine before they took a call. Most customer support reps are fine. They are not responsible for your problem, they are the only ones who might be able to fix an issue quickly, and they are bombarded with hundreds of other customers who are probably just as frustrated or even more so than you are. Some patience and understanding go a long way. Even when they work for a scumbag company, they are just reading off of a script the majority of the time anyway.

People are angry because your systems ask them stupid crap before actually speaking to a human... you then repeat ask what the system just asked us... we just want a quick hey I got this problem I need this and this and we off the phone...at least Doordash Driver... Doordash Customer support is trash... they literally read off scripts.... have you sitting for a long time to get anything done so if you picking orders it suck... then if you call in to report a bad customer they expect you not to be cursing when the customer is lying and holding you at gun point over 3 dollars worth a food... they suck and try to hang up the phone because they suck and don't listen and problem solve... LOL

People who pray lose my intellectual respect. Prayer has been tested and demonstrated to have no positive effects. There is one glaring negative effect though, it gets in the way of real solutions. There is no justification for believing a god exists, especially when we only need to look to history to see the misery that such irrational beliefs inflict on our species. Sure, there's a right to freedom of religion, but just because you have a right, doesn't mean it is justified. The world would undeniably and objectively be a better place without religion or irrational beliefs. Beliefs inform our actions, belief without sufficient evidence is irrational belief. Irrational beliefs can and do lead to irrational actions, which are the root cause of the majority of our species problems.
