Practice means something ,it tells you the performance of the car at that particular time,and provide data for adjustment. The team that corelates the information best generally reaps the reward.

@@devonledgister3997 To the teams but not to the people watching. We don’t know fuel levels or if the engines have been turned down. The times mean nothing. Tsunoda may have had barely any fuel hence his excellent lap. I’d be surprised if he’s in the top 5 in qualifying

You need to look at the trajectory Max and RB tend to go in P1, 2 and 3. P1, Max finds and goes over the limit. Learns, gives useful feedback to engineers. P2 tends to be test and modify. P3 he is looking at full race set up so not always on top of the time sheets. Meanwhile, Merc seem to always go for 'fastest lap' in P1, 2 and 3 almost as if to pacify someone... Come to quallie and Max usually nails it to the pole on the last lap having done two poor sectors and purpled the f*ck out of the last one. Don't worry, even if Charles does get pole, his pole to win ratio is worse than Mazispins start to finish ratio...

I have to say though that as long as Mercedes aren't winning I can wait for ferrari. They will have their glory days soon I hope.
