This was an incredibly fun battle and honestly, including how both of these characters can be interpreted in many different ways is probably the best way to end this. Especially given the numerous abilities I know Dante at least has and how you are bound to miss something for each character. Hopefully any toxic DOOM and DMC fans won’t be too much trouble for you. Also, I really enjoyed how you described their battle! It was really fun and is probably the one that made me the most tense in waiting for the verdict, even more so than your Persona videos.

This has got to be one of your greatest matchups ever and Dante teaming up with Doomslayer at the end was some badass DMC 3 throwback

My thoughts in order: Dimensional scaling. Oh boy, alien language to me. Physical abilities: equal stats, good. That helps me keep the head scratching bearable. Weapons: comparing these will take a while. End of weapons: agreed. Dante is better at close range, slayer is better at long range, and his armor is nuts. Tactics: Dante royal guard = soresu is a stretch. Yeah, I'm guilty of thinking that. Lightsaber fighting forms are not a 1 for 1 comparison, but to give you a general idea of how they fight: yeah, my mentality as well. On ranes discord today, I compared Jotaro kujo's fighting style to form 1. Results: I'm very surprised it did not result in a kill. Overall, a very fun video

Well well well.... that was one of the most fun vs videos I have seen xD really close and evenly matched battle, well themed between two of the most overpowered demon hunters around.

Tbh the fact BFG and other weapons harming Davoth or Titans aren't because they'd really be capable of, but because Slayer who has no idea he's a prime just like Davoth kinda manipulating reality without knowing that because he *believes* that he can. He empowers his guns subconsciously without realising it.

Would be interesting to see a match-up between composites of both of them. Come to think of it, the fight would just be an anticlimactic stalemate if Gold Orbs and Extra Lives were taken into consideration. Also probably not of much value here, but the devs at iD, more specifically Hugo, has stated that any user generated content like WADs somehow holds valid canonical value. Taking this into account, that would mean that the skins available in Eternal have some serious implications. If even death can't stop the Doom Slayer, would he have dealt the final blow as one last F you? Who knows....

This match was awesome I love how someone finally treated the Doom Slayer with respect and gave him his full power it's so satisfying that something like this finally happened and I do agree with the outcome if the stats are even but if but I still see the Doom Slayer snatching a win but in the end really the only thing I can say is thank you rane really this makes me excited for the next season and I love the end of the fight thank you for not nerfing the Slayer to the point where he can't fight back I really hope you make it to 2000 subs 🙂

Great video, I definitely enjoyed your content and how you covered the points of both characters that are from different franchises, so it can be quite complicated to analyze and compare, due to all the lore that both universes have, however I think you missed mentioning a crucial part about DMC's hell, which in addition to being described as an infinite universe, it is mentioned that it is made up of several dimensions of the same level, which can be connected to other versions of the central universe or the human world, this It is mentioned in the Devil May Cry 2 manga, where Dante goes to a reality where a more powerful version of Mundus managed to conquer the human world, who mentions that he had defeated the versions of Dante and Vergil from that same world, what the original Dante was forced to face and defeat him, to which I think that could raise Dante's prowess a bit within the current canon

The Slayer has been fighting in hell for eons, meaning more than billions of years without stopping or slowing down, so I'd definitely give the slayer and edge on experience as he has much more combat experience, but overall still a very good video

Best Christmas present ever

Gameplay Dante would have a tough time dealing with all the projectiles and aggression of demons in Doom Eternal. Gameplay Doomguy would have a tough time in DMCV because the demons are fewer and seem tankier against gunfire. Not as many chances for glory kills and chainsaw reloads. Doomguy thrives and feeds on numbers, but Dante does better with 1 on 1s. They’d make a great team.

id argue doomslayer has the better experience and tactics and whatnot, he fought in hell for eons upon eons, one eon is a billion years so doomslayer has over billions and billions of years with combat experience, dante's regen also isnt really a factor since the crucible can negate regeneration and immortality. also doomslayer can adapt to his opponents id say, since he can swap between weapon mods for the enemy, swap between runes, swap between all of his praetor suit abilities and just the overall amount of weapons, mods, praetor suit upgrades and sentinel crystal upgrades, were doomslayers power ups included at all? i didnt catch that

Even though I watched this for the last three months this is my favorite fight of all episode.

This is very good, though I disagree with Dante being the winner simply due to the fact that it is highly consistent that Dante stalemates opponents that equal him in power and can even lose to them, whilst The Slayer mid-diffs Davoth, who not only is massively stronger than when he created Hell(The Book of Seraphs state he had consumed countless gods and their deputies and possibly their universes as well) before he was sealed, but was getting stronger still with his connection with Hell. Hell has been stated multiple times to have been devouring worlds(universes) for eternity, so it has devoured infinite universes, which would make it infinitely more powerful than before. And Davoth being completely above Hell and only viewing it as an Absolute Extension of his will, would also get that amp. I have several answers/posts on Quora where I scale the DOOMverse to Outerversal+. I'd be willing to share them with you.

I like both franchises tbh, (I'm not here to argue anything, just adding a minor detail) old-school Doom hit different in a cheesey nostalgic way I found out something crazy, Sooo Itsuno's (DMC director) SMT Dante actually is cannon in his words with the licensing of dmc and anything he oversees or involved with regarding dmc is canonical, like that one time he said Vergil caught an STD in between Dmc 2 and 4 😂man's was done dirty by his baby mama lol He had to oversee it for SMT 3 at the very least for it to apply. I'm not into power-scaling as a topic😅 The dmc mobile game is a disappointment tho sadly (non cannon game, thank god) I honestly I'd love to see dmc where an SMT character shows up, that'd be lit or a cross-over game even. I dont do stuff like this, just saying, info can change overnight.

doom slayer will still fucking wreck dante due to the fact that dispite some of dante's higher points of power even if all of the powers and weapons he got were combined the doom slayer still has more ways to kill dante plus remember demons had a harder time ripping doom slayer apart while he sill has an easier time ripping demons apart and even if dante tries to go devil trigger one quick strike from the super shotgun to the head will take dante down for the count so i have to say doom slayer wins a flawless victory in my books
