Though my analysis of Sedriss has changed somewhat, I stand by my original verdict on Asajj Ventress Vs. Sedriss. Sedriss employs the stength-based heavy offensive fighting style that Ventress is specifically weak against, his performance level was sufficient to give Luke Skywalker pause, and he is an unyielding aggressor who will go kamikaze if necessary. Though he wouldn't overpower Ventress as handily as Anakin Skywalker did, I have no doubt that he would still overpower her.
As to the changes in my analysis of Sedriss, it will still be a three-way compromise between the Dark Empire II comics, radio play, and his character sheet in the Star Wars roleplaying game, but instead of using the stats presented in the Jedi Academy Training Manual, as I did previously, I will be using the sheet presented in The Dark Side Sourcebook, as I found it to be much more comprehensive. My reconciliation between the two versions of his battle with Luke Skywalker presented in the comics and the radio play remains the same: They engaged and fought blade-to-blade, with Luke ending the bout with telekinesis.
My analysis of Sylvar will be drawn almost exclusively from her appearance in the Tales Of The Jedi comic series, though I will be referencing such sources as the Knights Of The Old Republic Campaign Guide and The Old Republic Encyclopedia for information on Cathar species traits.
So will all of that out of the way, let us begin. Sylvar, the Jedi huntress, and Sedriss, Emperor Palpatine's chargeman. If these two noted warriors were to meet in single combat, who would win?
