Should I use the total sales revenue to be my base amount instead of sales?

Good point. I believe you should take Gross Sales and subtract returns and subtract discounts. That leaves you with Net Sales. The Net Sales would be your base and that should be 100%. See if this screen shot helps. chrismenardtraining.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Net-Sales.jpg

knowledge without a good explanation is a waste if you are doing teaching because many people have the knowledge but they don't know hoe to explain or make it interesting!
