"Real Housewives of Potomac" star Karen Huger was charged with a DUI after her involvement in a car incident Tuesday night, according to online court records.
The Grand Dame, who was behind the wheel of a 2017 Maserati, crashed the vehicle while driving in Potomac, Maryland, after the television personality apparently "crossed a median and struck street signs," a representative for the Montgomery County Police Department confirmed to USA TODAY in an emailed statement Wednesday.

I'm sorry this happened to Karen. Years ago, I worked with a 60+ older lady and you could smell the turn up on her daily. For about 6 months her husband had to drop her off/ pick her up from work. So these DUI's definitely happening in all age brackets. Keep in mind most of RHOP scenes are filmed with a drink. I hope she takes the necessary steps to ensure this never happens again. She could've caused a loss of life.

PLEASE, Karen was drunk and refused a breathalyzer test. Her registration was suspended. Karen went to jail and was bailed out. Thank goodness she didn't hit anyone or no one was in the car with her. Karen was driving excessively and too fast for the conditions. Karen needs to go to AA and MADD, and her license should be suspended

As a native Marylander, I must point out Karen is a come-here from Virginia. She doesn’t even know that blue crab get steamed, not boiled!!! Karen needs to spend part of next season in rehab and therapy to respond to the shade that will be happening on the next season. What was on her mind when she got behind the wheel. Please call a friend, lyft, uber or a cab. Don't drive under the influence of anything. If you are in your feelings or upset, don't drive just call a ride share. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

Didn't something like this happen with Monique and she was never charged with a DUI or anything but they kept trying to accuse her of drunk driving. Now I don't know if Karen was being a Karen towards Monique as well but I do remember them trying to put her on blast.

I'm really disappointed in Karen. She brought up MD's low tolerance for drinking and driving on the show before (the legal limit in MD is 0.08), so I know she knows better. There is NEVER an excuse for a person with that much to lose to drink and drive. Call Uber or Lyft. Better yet, schedule a driver to pick you up. You sound crazy talmbout some "Grand Dame," yet you driving yourself home after drinking.
