Hank is very lucky to have partners like you, giving him so much excitement running about the villages, towns and forests of England. I do believe that Hank gets more exorcise than most humans. Hungarian Vizslas arealways the Star, Everyone in my Community really loved Mine. Huge Downside though, is losing one is so Tramatic, it's a loss of probably the best friend you'll ever have and facing the loss of another one, is just a really bad prospect. Annual Boosters from the Vet lost mine, after a clean bill of health he had his booster, and the poor boy was riddled with Cancer 4 days later. His buddy, my Springer Spaniel never had another booster after, and unlike all my friends Spaniels, that died at age 11 to 12 mine lived to over 23 years old. tbh, as Vaccines and boosters are needed for a Pet Passport, I'll never have a Dog on my Boat Ever Again. which really sucks, but I will not condemn one to such an early Death. But everyone who loves Dogs deserves to experience having a Vizsla as a Buddy. Best Cats, are Burmese Temple Cats, and one got on really well with my Vizsla . Both gone now sadly. Ho Hum, such is life. Best Wishes. Bob. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️

Chain Ferry, Rule 18 applies. ...a sail boat shall give way to a vessel restricted in her ability to manoeuvre.. The ferry raises a ball day shape in its direction of travel and displays an all round white light. As you said, there have been a lot of incidences where the tide has pushed boats into the ferry and pinned them to her beam. Tidal range might be small down there, but the volume of water flowing in or out is massive and its easy to be caught out. I learnt navigation in Poole. From out in the channel into the town. Daytime first, then night time using radar, chart and light sequences, then with blinds up using radar, chart, a stopwatch and well written DIY pilotage notes. Ironicly, where I live its 50m of wide harbour then open sea. :-D

Loved the video. If your dji drone remote is set up in the common way, with altitude and yaw in the left stick, simply holding the left stick "back" or "down" will stop the propellers as well. I always shut off the battery and disengage it immediately as well. Best of luck!

There used to be 2 chain ferries on the river Clyde East of Glasgow. The Renfrew ferry and the Erskine ferry. Every now and again one of them would snap their chains and go for a sail either up or down the Clyde depending if the tide was coming out or in.

There's some food for thought, although we're pretty used to the stick now and I've already used up all my nine lives with drone flying over the past few years, so I'll likely stick to what works for me, but that advice may come in handy for someone else out there reading these comments 👍🏽

Thanks for the drone tips. Those shots of Cadoha sailing are awesome! Due very much to your reviews and Tom Cuncliffe, I've invested in a Torqeedo which I'm so far very happy with. Just wondered how you make it secure when leaving the tender on an isolated beach? Another great walk by the way.

We put a padlock through the fasteners and we remove the battery and tiller and lock them in our tenders forward compartment. Although if we didn’t have that compartment then I’d take the Torqeedo bag with us and put the battery in there and carry it with me.

I think this is the first time seeing you under sail with both headsails out; under what conditions do you normally use both?
@CadohaAdventures
@CadohaAdventures Жыл бұрын
The staysail was for us to use when the wind gets up and furling the head sail to reef would change the shape of the sail to the point that a fully flown staysail, in the same conditions, would make for a better option, that was the idea anyway. This boat originally likely had a much higher cut yankee sail (head sail) with a staysail to compliment it and you'd fly both simultaneously, for the most part, but I think somewhere along the way a previous owner has installed a lower cut, larger surface area Genoa, and so for the most part the staysail doesn't do a great deal (I don't think, but could be wrong) when the head sail is all the way out. But it certainly looks nicer for the pictures and video, and it certainly didn't seem to hurt our speed 😬
