Very rusty old hammer restoration. I found this old rusty hammer on the site of an old house. I decided to restore it. Removed the rust. The texture of the hammer has become similar to the texture of an iron meteorite. I decided to leave the texture fragment. The result was a meteorite hammer. I hope you enjoyed my restoration and customization.

That was very beautifully done. I like the artistic touch of leaving the sides in their pitted but polished finish. I would love one like that. I'm going to have to find one of those and see if I can do the same result.

I was watching this on my laptops , my son walks by and says " What is he doing with a potato?"... l am glad you left some of the natural decay in it ... taking it down to the clean metal would have made it too perfect.

OUTSTANDING! I thought it was going to be a moon rock (or a meteorite. 😄) until you did all that hard work and we started seeing metal. (Eureka!) Finished product couldn't be any more beautiful. I wonder how long the poor hammer head had been lost, or broken, then abandoned.... ? At any rate, thank you for giving us back a little piece of history. Wow, if this hammer could talk! Thanks again.

Оце видно що молоток дійсно іржавий. А то візьмуть ножик, посиплять його якимось порошком на клею, заховають десь в садку - потім Ух-ти!!! Ножик знайшов!! І реставрує...

Please use sodium carbonate (aka washing soda) when doing electrolysis, as using salt will result in release of chlorine gas, which can be lethal.

It would need testing, but that looks like nickel iron. It could very well be made of meteor Metal.

Ese aspecto de espejo cambiará nuevamente si no se proteje contra la corrosión por la humedad del medio ambiente. Creo que se debió dejar en una etapa previa al uso de la amoladora. Saludos
