Some time ago when I took my daughter to London to tour a bit of history, we arrived at the King's Guards, and my daughter was Stull young enough that she wanted to 'pet' the horse. I explained to her thet with these horses, as they were working horses and on guard duty they could not be petted or distracted but she could stand a good 6 feet in front t of the horse and I could take her picture and the horse would be right behind her and she would have that memory. My daughter caught on right away because we trained services dogs and she commented on how the dogs, when in working harness, could not be distracted with pets or eye contact or conversation. I did not realize that the Guardsman mounted on the horse was paying us any attention or that he had called over another guards many but as we walked away about halfway down the road we were stopped by a guardsmen who said the mounted officer really appreciated how I handled the situation instead if being like other parents who expected his mount to be a child's entertainment which really stressed the horses when they were bridled and saddled which meant to the horse it had a job to do. As a reward we were walked though a side gate into a stable area and over to an area where a couple if horses were relaxing and not saddled and just wearing soft harnesses and in a much better mood to enjoy a few pets. To this day my daughter sees a horse with bridle and saddle as 'working' and refuses to go near them :).

How are they allowed to ride down that street like that when the horses are out? That was outrageous!! That poor horse, I really dislike people who intentionally try to provoke the horses and cause them stress!! Kudos to the guard who handled that very well!!

Well that was handled really well. The horse was calmed down and returned to his post without any fuss. These guards are wonderful horsemen.

so many questions What was happening did those bikes all go through red lights the white van stopped they didnt Why were some on the wrong side of the road If it was a known protest then why was permission given to drive that route I hope you and others that filmed this give your footage to the police they maybe able to trace them some how and prosecute some of them

Bravo to the guard who kept his seat. You managed that marvelously. By keeping yourself calm, you keep your horse calmed. Exposure to those sounds will be difficult, but needed. I salute this horseman.

Bloody bikers need to be dealt with by the law. That horse just wanted to back outside & not be there but it was nice to see the big boss calm him down & talk to him as he was leading him back out. Love how the horse looked as though he was telling everyone to back off & leave him alone.

These aren't real bikers, they appear to be mainly kids playing with their Tonka toys and showing off pretending to be big! Many times you hear Harleys go past, and the horses never move a muscle. Most of what we see in this film are not proper bikes even!

I heard the noise off in the distance and sort of knew what was coming-- however, even more than the noise was that jerk on the four wheels riding it standing up! That must have looked monstrous to the horse! Handled so well. Also, thanks to the tourists for staying calm and respectful-- the calm environment does a lot to reassure a horse that the atmosphere is back to normal.

These horses are very well trained in all sorts of crowd noises and situations,but I bet motorcycles on parade would still be highly unusual. They did very well considering.

The person who commented that the horse was playing-up before the cycles came past must really have their eyesight checked. For reference only, it was the White Guard whose horse was playing-up in the left side box, the Black Guard in the right side box was very calm until he heard the bikes coming. Watch the video again, or are you reluctant to compliment the Black Guard on his great horsemanship? To the King's Guards, well done.

This apparently was the was the plan of the "Not my king" protesters at the coronation and why the police came down so hard on them. They were going to wait until the mounted soldiers and guards started out in advance of the golden carriage and then make noise and scare the horses. The numbskulls didn't seem to care that people likely would have been trampled to death or receive severe injuries from hundreds of horses running amok. Supposedly it would make the King/Monarchy look bad. Anyone can see who are the idiot criminals here. BTW, these vehicles are banned from the streets here in Canada. They are considered strictly off-road recreational vehicles.

watching these horse guards brings back memories. My Father in Law was a Corporal of Horse in the Blues and Royals many years ago and it was nice for my husband to see these films. They do a marvellous job. Fine when the crowd treat them with respect, but hateful to see some who think its clever to play up around them. His two uncles were also in that regiment.

Well handled!👏👏 pesky pestering people is one thing but rearing cars quite another!! Nobody overridden, nobody kicked. His trooper prevented him from rearing (which that horse was seriously thinking about) which tends to be disastrous on cobbles! Poor Nobbin, just wanted to get back to his stall, where it is safe! But his trust in his rider and even more, in his horse Sargent, won out.

That is very sad, horses deserve better than that, and the Guard was excellent. The higher up one was so kind to the horse and both he and the guard calmed the horse that was obviously terrified of all that noise. The deserve better respect than that.

I'm just waiting for another bunch of rowdy people to spook the horses and make them dump their riders and go running thru the crowd. It's only a matter of time when they take risks like that so they can have their fun.

I can remember riding to the local general store and having people blaring the horns, hitting the gas pedal on their vehicle, etc., trying to get my mare to shy. She didn't. Good girl. But once we hit the road up the valley, I loosened rein and let her run it out. It seems to me that the older I get, the more stupid and idiotic the rest of the human race becomes. The Guards have my utmost respect! From the other side of the Pond!

I wish people would understand that it's not a petting zoo. The guards and their horses deserve to be treated with the utmost respect.

The Kings Guard did an excellent job of staying calm, keeping his seat with a very nervous, jiggy rearing horse. Finally got settled down. Good work by all.

As a regular watcher of both yours and Buska's VLOG and a former Serviceman who also rides with an Armed Forces Biker Group. If you have any video footage of any of those bikes Registration's please please pass them on to the MET Police We as a group also Ride in London with the Police Motorcycle Club and others and we do a lot for Forces Charites and with The ACE Café we promote safe riding and lawful riding with respect for Horses also when we are out in the Countryside we slow down for Horses so if You or Buska have footage please show it to the Police and have these people dealt with. They give us who ride sensibly a bad reputation

Many times these beautiful horses are in some distress. You can see this, the way they toss their heads constantly, the bit in their mouth, their ears or just looking into their eyes. Too many people are allowed to get too close to them. I feel sorry for them. I hope they are well looked after and have respite in the country with NO NOISE!

We have issues with dirt bike and atv riders in Washington D.C. It is illegal for them to ride on paved public roads but they show up in groups like a rave and make a lot of noise and show off then disappear.

Poor sweet baby and amazing horsemanship, such love towards their horses. That act should be a criminal offence against the rogue bikers.

The boss always has a very good repore with the soldiers and especially with the horses. He knows how to handle them in all situations and hes not afraid to get his hands dirty so to speak. The training these horses and soldiers go through is intense and they know what they're doing, but sometimes a horse has a bit of a difficult time. Maybe if they asked the bikes etc going past to have a bit of consideration for the horses, it might help.
