I figured out how to do this on my own using (2) 6 ft. rachet straps. Turn it on its side, put one end against a post or solid structure, then bend the free end toward the other. I have a strap hooked on the side I'm moving, then hook the other end as soon as I can reach it. Then I hook a second strap and tighten both straps, a needed. There is no way that sucker is going to open! I then turn it upright and move it into place. I keep those straps on until completely afixed. I did this alone at 70 years old.

Thank you yet again for a very informative episode. Appreciate the easy to follow directions you provide. Have you ever considered having on-site lessons at your farm? We just finished topping off 5 new raised beds in our side yard. Last year I had several cardboard boxes planted with potatoes (your directions). Got a decent amount of potatoes but the best bonus was the wonderful soil it created! I added mushroom soil compost and mulched leaves in the fall. So excited to fill the new beds at almost no cost to us. Well, lumber and screws…. 😉 Will be adding a cattle panel trellis this week 👍

I like how safe your method is. Part of my career is to make the reinforcing wire that goes into concrete pipes and manholes. The tips at the ends have many times cut my clothes and skin. So much I'm use to it. But if you're not an old Dinosaur like me. Look out for tip. They are cut off so are sharp.

This is a good idea for transporting. 👌 I usually use bungee cords but will throw some cordage in My "tow strap bag". It's amazing that you've hit 90 when we've only broken 80 here in 7B - NE GA. Good luck this summer. -KJ

Thank you, that is great idea! Last time I asked a question about fruit trees and food web, and you said it is not a problem since there is the root always in the ground. But my next question is why there is still need for fertilisers. What do you think? I know that those guys that do not grow organically use herbicides around the trunk killing the food web. But what about us that grow the natures way, any tips? Thanks, love what you do, the best vid is the one where you show tomatoes in the time of severe drought, so I think if he can do it with tomato I can do it with apples. :)

You can add a layer of mulch of wood chips or fall leaves to the tree area about 7 inchs thick

Hi Mark. I just found your channel looking for a comparison between comfrey and broadleaf dock! Found a 5 year old video where you're making the same comparisons I am.. are you still using dock in the same manner as comfrey and getting results?
@iamorganicgardening
@iamorganicgardening Жыл бұрын
Thanks for stopping by and watching. I am still using dock. I used it last year on a full acre of hard clay. And with great results as a cove crop. As you know they make lots of seeds.

Hello, I understand (thanks to you) why potting mix is not soil. What about bagged garden soil or bagged top soil, are they really soil? Can I add them to my potting mix to improve it? My in-ground soil is full of large roots so I can't get into it.

I do not know what is in the other items you list. But here is so ideas. Use FREE USED coffee grounds. Has lots of minerals. Worm casings you can but on amazon. And last coco core helps build fungi in the bed. Even buy a bag of play sand at a big box store

@@iamorganicgardening Thank you, it’s not possible for us to pick it up or it to be delivered, so I’ll be using my 16 gauge cheap fencing to make fences, and grow on that for now. Arches later! Thanks again. (Folks specifically according to tractor supply store, it’s 5 gauge cattle panels 16 feet by 50 inch sold flat unless I’m mistaken)
