Cops don’t know for sure that there are children or hostages… explosives… The car is very suspect with the tinted windows… and a driver with nothing to lose. That’s not a waste of tax dollars in my humble opinion. That’s a lot of stress on the police to get things right.

This seems a way to get more overtime, equipment etc. No chase, follow the leader & the leader is DUI? There are always chances but they go untried. Everyone wants to be safe but some chances are very low risk with drones, dogs, tasers, weapons of all kinds, vests, tear gas, armored vehicles, helicopters, shields to name many with many others. The cops look foolishly inapt & while the suspect is in full control enjoying his power over dozens of cops that seem to be encouraging chases.

This was a slow day literally. Good grief...he suspect could have been just lightly pitted within 2 minutes. They were probably sipping coffee and eating donuts while casually driving behind this car. Smh
