This is the sound of vesicular breath sounds. They are considered normal, described as low pitched. They are best heard in all areas of auscultation with your stethoscope and are the most commonly heard lung sounds.

I have a new stethoscope and when I put it on my chest I can hear my heart but when I breathe in and out I don’t hear anything. Am I just too inexperienced to know where to put the stethoscope?

I'm sure you figured it out by now, but 3:1 ratio is specifically for vesicular breath sounds.

Please someone should be sure about the types of normal breathe sounds. In a different video, I learnt the following are all normal breathe sound: 1. Versicular 2. Bronchial 3. Bronchoversicular And a different video says Bronchial breath sounds are abnormal, I'm confused. Pls help, thanks
@reyespiano945
@reyespiano945 4 жыл бұрын
I had the same confusion as you a couple days ago. Bronchial sounds are normal as long as they are at the expected place (for example, over the manubrium). There, you can hear the sound of the larger airways. It is not normal to hear bronchial sounds when they are in distant locations, since you should only be able to hear vesicular sounds there. Bronchovesicular sounds are kind of like a mid-point between bronchial and vesicular sounds. Their existence, though, is controversial.

Is this sound sample acquired by deleting all the surrounding noises and impulse noise including the heart sound? What algorithm did you use to delete those sounds?
