Vessel Drivers! Finally getting around to checking this brand out! I grabbed a few interesting items from them on Amazon to try out and thought I’d show you guys what I picked up. So far they’ve been in use about a month now as of this videos release and honestly I’m still getting used to the handles on these as they’re a lot different from my PB Swiss and Wera Drivers. The ball grip is very unique in feel and the biggest issue I’ve had so far is the amount of bag space that that large grip seems to take up, as you all know I’m very into slim tools that fit neatly in a tool bag and these definitely do not do that in my opinion. Check them out though, they may be something that fits you perfect!
Don’t forget to share the channel, or your favorite video out on your social media! Tag me and you might just get some free stickers sent out!

Nice acquisitions Mills! Ball-grip handle is one of the best handle format ever made, you have grip for a high torque and also front part for fast movements on the same handle. Also Vessel is one of the best Phillips fits ever made and also compatible with JIS format. Get a chance with it and I thin you will not regret 😀👍👍

I have the little interchangeable set, you can get some serious torque on them, great for undoing stuck screws. The bits are held on by a little ball detent on one of the sides. If I install the bit with the writing lined up with the detent, then the writing gets rubbed off. Other than that, they are a great driver and they are quite pricey over here with limited availability.

Do those ones have the ball that pulls apart or is that only the ratcheting ones (you get a stubby and regular screw driver in each one) I got that same black one you got, then I got the 2pc impacts set from them (it’s got a unique cam inside the handle where it will rotate 20 Degrees when you strike it with a hammer and then, I don’t know why I felt the urge to buy them, but I did, I got the 8pcs set of the vessel tang-thru wooden handle demolition screwdrivers. Oh man are they ever beautiful and so nice looking. It’s marketed to people with oily or wet hands as it grips the wood even better when wet. Love this brand.

Very interesting, thanks! I've often wondered about Japanese tools - the Japanese are renowned of course for their knives and metal working skills in general, so you'd tend to think that Japan would be a source of great screwdrivers etc. I've got one pair of Japanese pliers and that's about it, they just don't seem to have much traction here in the UK, where the Germans basically dominate the high-end tool market.

Can you put other long shanked bits (for example pb swiss) in the black handle? Or does it only accept the supplied bits? And how do they fit the screws? I´ve heard they don´t fit well because in japan the screw sizes are a bit different

I love my vessel drivers. If you work on classic Japanese cars or motorcycles they are a must or you will cam out all the screws. The Philips is not a Phillips it's a jis screw and with a jis driver no more cam outs
@WYOMINGBEN
@WYOMINGBEN 2 жыл бұрын
Once you start using JIS you will never use a Phillips again. I use the 220W bits in my M12 impact almost exclusively, The flat x JIS #2 doesn't have a ball detent but stays on just fine with magnitising magnet. The grey handled Vessel Impact screwdrivers are the cats meow check those out. If you do any mechanic work on Japanese anything, JIS is almost required. Several instances where phillips will not work.

I’ve definitely enjoyed the bit fitment so far. The handles are about my only issue, when they’re in a bag they sure eat up space
@WYOMINGBEN
@WYOMINGBEN 2 жыл бұрын
@@MillisConstruction I have a few of these Vessel Ball End screwdrivers but I prefer the more traditional style of handles which Vessel makes as well. You are right they don't fit bags very well, I tried it and moved those screwdrivers to my tool box. Nothing beats wood handled screwdrivers which vessel makes too. What people don't know is that JIS will fit any phillips screw better than a phillips bit, phillips was designed to cam out, not JIS. In short JIS fits everything better, Phillips won't work on JIS Japanese screws.

I just got a set of the insulated ball grips 2005PBU, the 220W 220W62J, 230w-2 and 270BW-123 last week. Since KC tools dropped Wiha and almost most all of the Wiha lowes carries is made in taiwan and usa is crap for the price they’re charging for non german made I thought Id try these vessels. Im still indecisive on if I like them or not. But I have had them very long to make a definitive conclusion. I got the 2005PBU to cover philips #1,2,&3 The 220w I ordered a wera 3.5x150 and 2.5x70 bit for control cabinet terminal blocks The 230W I got just to compare with the 220w. The 270BW I ordered some wera 2.5x70 and felo 2.5x50 bits for smaller terminal blocks.

@@MillisConstruction since i rarely use any flats other than 2.5mm and 3.5mm I don’t carry the two flats that came with my kit. I figure when I need a bigger flat Ill use the 270BW or 220w with rapidaptor and bit out of a wera bit check. so basically Im only carrying 4 & 1/2 screwdrivers/ handles if you count the 270BW as a screwdriver.
