Just picked up the Vessel 220USB P1 from Amazon Japan.
I looked at the two options on Amazon US and couldn't decide between the High Speed or Higher Torque Option. I asked in a community post and found out about this one. Even though it may not be the highest speed... It might be a happy medium.
I share in this video the cost, features, what I will use it for, and my opinion to hopefully help you make the decision which one might be the right one for you... or if its a tool not for you all together.
Hope it was useful & THANKS FOR WATCHING!

I just got mine yesterday. Can't wait to try this out on the job. It beats carrying around even my 12v impact. I was researching these again and your video popped up at the top of the list. I couldn’t remember which one was the jack of all. I really want to get this soon. You were talking about not using this for screws on fixtures, but I started thinking that “most” call for about 17-19 lb.in. And I actually use a torque screwdriver to set my fixtures (although that has always seemed to loose to me, I still give it a little extra). I think whenever I get this I’ll have to run an experiment because if this actually sets them to spec it’ll be one less thing to carry around for simple outlets and switches (lugs are a different story.) Anyway, this video was just as informative the second time around 😂😂😂 Also if you’re carrying around your new Olight Baton 4, you’ve got a cable that’ll charge this up if you’re running low and don’t feel like going back to your truck to charge it😂😂😂 Keep up the good work my friend.
@MORGANSMaintenance
@MORGANSMaintenance 7 ай бұрын
The power bank for the screwdriver is yet another great use for that cable 👍👍 You can use this on anything and if it doesn’t have enough torque to start or finish just use your wrist. That’s what I like about this one, it still feels like a regular vessel screwdriver even in manual mode.

The Bosch GO electric screwdriver is quite popular over here for electrical work. The only problem I have with electric screwdrivers is that the majority of the socket face plates we use have slotted screws, that don't lend themselves to an electric screwdriver too well.
@MORGANSMaintenance
@MORGANSMaintenance Жыл бұрын
Ours is the same… mostly slotted. (Big debate here if the slot goes vertical or horizontal 😂) I haven’t seen the Bosch option at all. I have seen the Dewalt one where all you have to do is twist your wrist a direction and it will go either forward or reverse, and the Milwaukee M4. I have seen neither in person, but they looked big enough that at that point my M12 tools weren’t much bigger.

My experience with cordless screwdrivers goes as far as the Bosch 4v and I hated that tool. This tool is just the best and it changes everything including the way I see cordless screwdrivers. I started buying those vessel ratcheting screwdrivers and I just found out that the bit extension that came with my set is the exact fit as the ratcheting's, so I can pop the long bit from the ratcheting and insert on the cordless screw driver. Best of both worlds.

The only thing I found online was approximate 40 minutes of runtime.. I am sure it is going to vary based on which speed setting you are on and the load you are putting on it. So about 4-5 years ago I bought a Chinese made vessel knock off from Amazon. Then I when ahead and got a vessel... It was not as good as the Chinese knock off. Then just last year I got a new Chinese knock off from I believe the same company. The new one only lasted 3 months and I went ahead and got a Craftsman electrical screwdriver. I thought it would be more powerful because it was a 4v but no. I ended just using my Chinese knock off and it's still hanging strong. I don't know why it's better but for some reason that old screwdriver is a champ and it only cost me $31 bucks on Amazon.

That’s why it’s always good to give things a shot. You never know sometimes. I have a friend who has bought something similar. I picked this up after seeing your video. The one thing that I didn’t like was the amount of play when i tried it with non Japanese bits. I solved it by compressing aluminum foil into bit holder until it was thick enough to keep a wera rapidaptor from moving. It lengthens the tool a little bit overall, but the bit removal is now even easier and I can use any of the 25mm bits from my wera toolcheck 😊 I don’t think I’ll ever take the rapidaptor off of this driver. I don’t do entire houses or anything, but I’ve done 25 or so and it didn’t die on me. It seems to be pretty decent so far. I’ve used it here and there since I got it for specific things and only charged it 3 times… but like I said, most of my jobs I’ve used it on haven’t been “all day” jobs. (Ceiling fan blades, door knobs, etc) If I do have those I will normally just carry my installation driver. Maybe some others will chime in as well.

@MORGANSMaintenance
@MORGANSMaintenance 11 ай бұрын
I would think so.. I would want to get this adjustable one so you have more control and not over tighten… this one on the highest torque setting can be pretty stout on weaker components…. That or the Low Speed version, the torque on that one should be similar to one of the lower settings on this one. That’s just my suggestion, I have only used mine on field type work so far.

@@runngunrc1991 I really like my Wiha precision screwdrivers the most out of the ones I have… the dedicated versions. It’s one of the few Wiha tools I have, but I like them. I use the Klein for my tool bags, just because they are multi bit versions and it saves space. I don’t have many “just bits” when you start getting into the smaller sizes.

Does it remember the speed/torque setting after it's been off overnight? Or do you have to select the speed each time you start to use it? I've used the Dremel and it has by far the best speed and torque of any I've used but the go button and lack of a locking bit holder make me want to throw it against the wall. I use a Craftsman now. So far it's been the best balance of features but I think the specs on this one look better. I may order one of these. I'm getting arthritis and don't want to stop working with my hands for a living. This makes a big difference on my knuckles by the end of the day.
@MORGANSMaintenance
@MORGANSMaintenance Жыл бұрын
I know it remembers its setting from the time it turns itself off and you turn it back on… As far as overnight or days later I am not 100% sure, but it has been on the same “solid light” setting every time I’ve used it without changing. So unless that is the default setting it goes back to after many hours, I assume it is staying at that setting. I just changed it to the slow blink and I will check it tomorrow and see. I am the same way these days. I think about using things differently to help me work longer in life (mostly because I enjoy doing it). There are things that I don’t like using impacts/drills for, but I also don’t like twisting a screwdriver all day for… especially over my head. Getting old… or worn out stinks 😂

It took me awhile to figure out how to change it (language barrier)… I assumed that was just a light for the charge/power info. I will probably always have it on the solid setting, maybe if I don’t change it often I won’t get that issue… but time will tell. Thanks for the heads up buddy 👍

I also use the Hazet 810R. The bit holder is amazing and the one way bearing makes it useable on machine screws. And when I add the Rack-A-Tiers 72101 for wire nuts my hands feel 1000% better at the end of a long day wiring overhead.

I felt like at that size though I would just use my M12 stuff. Then I saw these and thought I might like it to just have an option at the regular screwdriver size. I’m not sure I will use it every day yet… but I know I will for sure use for certain things.

The bits have some play in/out, but when you are pressing into the fastener it stays solid (in my opinion). I didn’t even notice it until people mentioned it. Some people have done different things to get rid of that play in the comments

Mine last for several days of just normal type, every now and then use.. but I have used it a lot in one day too and it’s made it the entire day. I usually charge it after that type of day, so I’m unsure how much more it had in the tank. I think it matters how much torque your screws need. The more it takes, seems like that’s what eats the battery. So plastic electric boxes in my case, take more than metal since the metal are tapped.
