We have 2 rats now and honestly I think I prefer lone rats, not that I don't love our 2 girlies it's just they don't seem to have a strong bond with my family and I as the lone rats did, they play and give us kisses but they are more "wild" if that makes sense.

My friend's dog had an upset stomach and ate grass to take care of it. Unfortunately, he ate a lot of _long_ grass in the process. When he began to show signs of distress, he was taken to the vet. The only way to save him was for the vet to remove the grass that had gotten wadded up and stuck in his intestines. The dog came out of it with flying colors. Thank goodness for modern veterinary technology! I feel so sorry for all the animals that eat too much grass which gets stuck in their system, and eventually die because no one is there to save them from the obstruction.

Sploge reminds me of my dog lol, I remember I was in the kitchen and I saw my dog at the time was just a puppy I saw him literally scale my fence into the neighbors backyard, he would get a running start from the deck and grip onto the middle piece of the fence and climb the fence , I was annoyed yet proud .

The smell from removing the mass of food from Jane looks like death. Sometimes I wonder why Scott and the nurses don’t wear a mask during surgery to help mask the scent a bit 😅

Teach children to live animals and they usually grow up teaching children to love animals. Look how proud Quinn was in helping a chicken. She learned that from great parents.

I liked how the 🐔 was fixed up with a bra support so she could eat better. The pig very eventful way to give the pig some support on her legs so she could walk around. The turtle 🐢 was creative way of fixing her shell so it will heal. All done by some awesome vet's.

I hate to be that guy, but important: Always have more than 1 rat (3 is a good number) and that cage is not made for a rat. But besides that, great work from the vets :)

Dear Bondi Vets, Dear Chris and Scott, if you have ANY idea why my mums madagascar lesser tenrec keeps sneezing for a months please help! She has done everything she can, but we have not found one vet that has met a tenrec before. We love him to pieces and it breaks our hearts to hear him sneeze all the time. Antibiotics didn’t help. We need an animal McGyver to figure this out!🥺🙏🏼❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

For that piglet… There are boots for dogs in all sizes that could work if you put a harder rubber sole inside, then padding inside. Bandage above the knee. That way she could still use her joints better and they wouldn’t be as hard.

I appreciate so much what Scott did for that chicken! Long grasses are very difficult for chickens to get through their crops, and she handled the surgery like a champ! Chickens are very tough and stoic, and definitely deserve more respect.

Please tell me those vets told the couple with the rat that they are going to need to get a second rat at least. I also hope that the enclosure they had him in was simply his travel enclosure... he's going to need much more space than that.

For the chicken, was it possible to surgically give the chicken a “breast reduction” or the same way when folks have excess loose skin after weight loss, would dissecting the sack/crop be an option?
@prcervi
@prcervi 2 жыл бұрын
technically yes, but it's a big risk compared to payoff also feel a bit cruel to say this, it's a common chicken breed, there is no investment other then sentimental here for the chickens longevity
@Hermititis
@Hermititis 2 жыл бұрын
He said her croup (part of her digestive track) is distended. It's not the excess skin that's the issue, it's the croup itself. It'd be less like a breast reduction/removing excess skin after weight loss, and more similar to bariatric surgery or surgery on your esophagus.

Poor Spodge! If that dog has no lawn, no toys, or anything else, to utilize his physical AND mental energy on, it is no wonder he needs to "escape". The owner should be walking the dog in the morning for an hour before leaving f or work, and give the dog toys to play with. Thank goodness Chris understands the needs of the whole animal. Not just the physical aspects.
