I'm loving the new helmet! It "pops" a lot more. I also loved that part where you casually jumped onto/balanced on the concrete divider in the middle of the path as well! (3:35) Definitely interested in hearing about what may be going on with the degrading smoothness of the suspension and whether that continues to show up as mileage increases.

This behavior of suspension i well known from bikes . Bearing of shocks creates friction . Only FOX shocks with Kashima coating minimize this .

I know, and I don't even know if I can legally ride one in my state. Every regulation I see for my state specifically stops at the dreaded "at least 2 wheels". Can I be pulled over for a legal gray area..?

Another great one. The Sherman-S almost looks Beginner friendly. But you did mention how heavy it was. I was heart broken to see the spat happening between you and Eevee's. Wished you guys could have worked something out without airing out the dirty laundry via social media.

I rode a Sherman S for a few minutes. I also hope they improve the spikes/pedals on the production version. I have honeycomb shoes and the spikes of the Clarks pedals just go deep into them, almost impossible to move my feet without raising them.

You can buy a lube spray specifically for the tubes for the suspension. I use it on my mtb forks because they will do the same sticking. Look up stanchion spray lube for bikes.

Makes me wish that shipping to New Zealand was faster, my Sherman S won't arrive until January. I'll keep riding my RS in the meantime, it's good to build up more experience to become more confident (and competent) before my new wheel arrives.

Wouldn't it be cheaper just to fly to China buy one, tour the area, Fedex the batteries home and take the Sheman-S chassis back in your luggage? The tax savings alone would pay for hotels.The 50% off retail should pay for the rest (including city guide/translator).

@@grb1969 Unfortunately not. Shipping is free for the slow shipping so I'm actually going with the cheapest option. Trying to ship Li-Ion batteries by Fed-Ex to New Zealand is problematic, the supplier tells me that he can't get the wheel to me by fed-ex (or any of the fast shipping options) no matter how much more I'm willing to pay for it. This has been the case for a couple of years or so, there are plenty of Chinese sellers that won't send goods to NZ if they have Li-ion batteries, I just see a message "no shipping option to New Zealand". Also - no tax savings whatsoever. I'm liable for tax whether I'm bring the goods with me as luggage or sending them by any other method. People have been caught out when they couldn't prove that they already had the watch on their wrist when they left the country (so it pays to get them to record the details of your expensive watch when you leave the country so you don't get taxed on it when you return).

I wonder if the suspension began sticking due to the stairs/bumps/drops twisting the "frame" and knocking it out of alignment. Hopefully loosening and retightening it up can mitigate any binding!

I know this is only a ride appreciation video, but I would still like to know if you would feel safe riding in a big pothole of water, or snow, that would submerge the kickstand assembly where the exposed wires are..! I asked Eevee's, and some others if they would feel safe doing that, and the only response I had yet (and I know, who would bother responding me😁) was that "only time will tell".. which is , what?! I wanted maybe to buy this wheel but for 6k$, in Quebec where there will be a lot of snow riding, I don't want to risk a battery short circuit! Anyway. Great video! Thanks!

The Sherman OG has fantastic water resistance but every wheel should be disassembled by the owner initially and assessed, then silicon and gasket-maker can be applied where risks are possible. Arc Rides channel demonstrates saltwater regular immersion of the Sheman OG during beach riding without much problem other than premature rust on roll-cage and bearing faces. This should make a great winter slush-puddle riding wheel but "time will tell". (I don't own a wheel from LeaperKim but am waiting for a good-value suspension wheel to be tested and proven.)

Oh my goodness that suspension looks smooth on those stairs. I know its subjective but I prefer the ease of movement on the pedals. I move my feet a lot. I filed my pedals so they are flatter. Took them down about 5 degrees. Turned out the steep angle made my ankles sore. So, if I bought the SS I wouldn't have to modify the pedals? Noted!!. Thanks Adam.

Another great review and good to know that you were able to work something out with eevee’s particularly with all the tongue lashing from some of your fans. Still thinking between the Sherman S and the Begode Master Pro. How’s the matchup between those wheels?

Thanks! No that’s eWheels not EEVEE’s! For now EEVEE’s hasn’t stated if they want to reimburse me anything for those 4 months. I told them that I wouldn’t want to renew the cooperation but I don’t know if there’s anything in the works as for compensation for my prior sales. Maybe it’s sort of even because they paid for the flight and accommodation at amped? Idk. I’ll probably reach out to them but on the other hand I don’t know if it’s worth the hassle and I might just let it be. What tongue lashing? I was very clear about facts and that people shouldn’t be discouraged of buying there and that it’s a good store. In terms of those two vehicles. It’s really a question of range and safety. The Maspro has tons more of range. Maybe I’ll do a separate video about that

@@mr_wrongway Please consider negotiating for a permanent work Visa as an independent business consultant without need for reciprocity, which would effectively be a retirement Visa regardless of future compensation agreements. This would be mutually beneficial even if paid consulting never develops. {imho} A similar scenario for the USA is worth over $2mil, for Mexico it's worth ~$350k (usd). The trick is to lock in the Digital Nomad lifestyle without the risk of income fluctuation. {I know, it's really none of my business, and I don't know the details.}

Hi @Wrong Way / Adam - quick question for you, but some brief background first. I'm in the queue for the first round of the Veteran Sherman S from eWheels. I've been riding for about six months and have three EUCs: inMotion V11, Begode Master, and Kingsong S22. I'm a 100% in love with EUC riding and am a huge fan of your channel (I also love how kind you are to others, as others have pointed out. You're an amazing role model!). I *mostly* ride on streets, but I do ride on gravel, dirt roads, grass, etc., from time to time. I'm "off road" maybe 10% of the time. My question: would you recommend the street tire or the knobby for the Veteran Sherman S for me? I'm asking because while I love the Begode Master, I wasn't a huge fan of its knobby tire because I found that when turning, it would seem to "pull me down" into the turns more than my other wheels. It was actually kind of scary because I'd lose balance much more than my other wheels. It seems some other riders were having similar issues. So to fix it, I bought one of the heated knobby tire shavers (like a soldering iron) and shaved down the knobs -- at an angle -- that were causing the pull. With that mod, the Master's knobby tire now seems to work correctly, without the pull. Phew! However, I'd prefer to not have to mod the Sherman S's knobby tire, but I'm also concerned that the street tire might not be sufficient for my "off road" riding. Any thoughts on this? Greatly appreciate the guidance!

Hey there! I’m glad you enjoy the channel and like how interact with others! Thank you for being a member of the channel too! Personally if I’d get the Sherman-S (and I probably will) I’d go for a street tire 100%. I just prefer how much more responsive and nimble the wheel becomes. The kenda street version should be a good all rounder. I’ll probably take the 80/90-14 Michelin city pro but it’s a tire that requires more effort and a learning curve. The knobby tire only helps in mud or sandy situations and on particularly loose ground. In usual off roading you shouldn’t feel a difference and actually the street tire might provide you with better agility off road! Thanks!

I actually find the pedal dips to be quite intuitive. But maybe that's because I am more of a simple commuter than major exploration with my wheel. If I were more sporty maybe the dips would be a deterrent

I wonder if the left and right stanchions could have gone out of alignment slightly. It might possibly be an explanation for the stiction. There are other possibilities of course! Like the temperature and the oil…

Yeah, that could be the reason. Or maybe it works similar to mtb forks which have lubricating oil in the bottom and to lube all the bushings properly you have to turn the bike upside down every once in a while. Probably worth a try to turn it upside down for 10 min and see if it got better and if not, they might be out of alignment as you said.

pls guys lets push Linea and the peeps from leaperkim to make sherman S next batch higher voltage looks like the wheel is just dope. as a sherman rider myself my only issue with the S is why stil 100V....... not getting higher voltage?????????? PLEASE LEAPERKIM MAKE THE S 134V... I wish they would give it more battery aswell but hey making the perfect wheel would be counterproductive just pls GIVE SHERMAN S HIGHER VOLTAGEEEEEEEEEEEEE and i will buy it

Hi Kim I had Begode Tesla T2 this past summer, it is 1020W and for me being 95-100kg rider it was plenty for even my second wheel. Myself I started on InMotion v5f. I do already want to upgrade though.

He doesn't speak French as far as I'm aware. T4 is a smaller wheel and in another class. You would compare Sherman s to master/master pro

{Warning: Sarcasm alert; some (or all) may not find this funny. And that's okay.} Dear LeaperKim, If you're reading this, please don't listen to Mr. Wrong Way Adam. Please leave the existing pedals on for the production run, they're just temporary anyway. And, who are we kidding with that design. {Am I right?} The worse the better. Forcing customers to upgrade pedals has been a brilliant way to outsource creativity, reduce iteration time and redirect some of that consumer rankor. {Brilliant!} Personally, I can only think of a few EUC buyers that I wouldn't either change the pedals soon after purchase, or begrudge the fact that the OEM pedals aren't exactly what I wanted but I can't justify the upgrade so I recent not having the option to choose. {Sure, I don't know to many others personally but I believe others seeth in agreement too. I never studied marketing in school but isn't that "Don't Shoot Yourself in the Foot-101"?} We should be encouraging aftermarket pedals, if only just for the purpose of outsourcing the burden of pedal redesign for each wheel new model. Pedals just hobble the internal development resources needed to build a competitive advantage; Only the largest manufacturer can benefit from insourcing the task of pedal development, and even then, only under conditions of Venture financing tactics. {Again, Brilliant!} EUCs should be shipped without any pedals anyway; now, if we could only agree on an adaptor-plate interface standard, then let someone else have the liability of satiating the insatiable masses. Either way, profits and customer satisfaction improves for everyone. {Warm regards and may your feet heal soon, Nylonova Pedal-mongers LLC. 😘}

Just make universal mounts on the wheel and let everyone buy their own pedals, no?

@@Fantaman900 Yes and no... Universal mounts on wheel would restrict alternative battery box/axle/modular design, whereas a separate platform interface (like the one on E-Rides Wolverine Pedals) would un-restrict the design of aftermarket pedal surfaces. But Yes, the sentiment is correct. 😎
