i watch the russian victory parade this year on the internet . it was cool how they started it was a honor guard carring that flag you saw they put on top reichstagg in the video

This is a movie from just after the war ended, all of the men you see and equipment fought in the war, they used all of the stories described from the soldiers in the video to make the production, it was also filmed where the real fighting took place, and the flag is in fact the real flag that they put on the reigstag(sorry for spelling, I don't know how to spell that) it is still preserved and is used every year at the victory day parade in Russia. The film is also truely a great one, it depicts yhe horrors and hell they had to go through. And snippets of it is from the real war.

I always found it a interesting choice to end the song with just "Attero" [Destroy] instead of "Attero Dominatus" [Destroy Tyranny]. It feels a little like a hidden message kind of thing. [And as for "Defence of Moscow" I'd love for you to react to the music video as well!]

Well it's pretty well known that Soviet soldiers were absolutely brutal and unforgiving in Germany. They end it with only attero because many innocents were killed, an incredibly high number of women, raped. In the end the USSR didn't "Attero Dominatus" they really did just "Attero".

Have been waiting for this since we started this album, I knew you would love the solo and the drums. And Joakims voice... So powerful and sharp. The best song on this album April 16th, the Soviets released a huge amount of artillery into the heart of Berlin while its armies surrounded the city from the north, east, and south. The Allies advanced from the west and stopped 100 km (60 miles) outside of Berlin in order to minimize friendly crossfire with the Soviets. 20 April, Hitler’s birthday, a couple hours before mid-day, the Allies made a special effort to bomb the city with almost a thousand bombers for two hours. For me it seams a bit overkill of civilians.

Sovjet/Russia got to little credit for ending the ww2! Without their defence and counter attack, Allies wouldn't had a chance. Biggest mistake (and thank god for that) they attacked Sovjet/Russia, imagine 1mil German soldiers on West front Vs the Allies?

Three army groups attacked the Soviet Union on a wide front. The number of these groups amounted to more than three million German soldiers. Support was provided by 650,000 soldiers from Germany's allies (Finland and Romania). Later, units from Italy, Croatia, Slovakia and Hungary were added to them.
